As an INTJ, I hate it when people think I’m shy or “try to bring me out of my shell”, it’s almost as if society sees being quiet and shy as synonymous with each other which is very false. If I’m minding my business please don’t talk to me. I’ve notice that as an INTJ I attract people at times when I don’t want to, like when I’m alone on my phone at work for example. Also small talk pisses me off. I work retail and it’s trash. Not staying at that job for long because I fake laugh at a good 90% of my customers jokes and not to mention the small talk is aggravating as hell.

YES. exactly the same with me, i understand and relate to you completely. i HATE small talk and especially in situations like that. especially when i’m minding my own business, doing something where I CLEARLY do not want to be bothered and then people gather around me like a flock and try to have a conversation and so i’m like 😄👹👺.

I think the people around me at work have just accepted that I won’t laugh at everything they say or just to “be nice”. If they speak to me, telling me something that I can tell they find humorous, I’ll give a small polite smile, then continue with my tasks. The trick is to give answers that are as short and vague as possible. That makes people uncomfortable and then, soon enough, you’ve trained them to stay away from you… mostly. I do not hate people, but I hate being AROUND people, and speaking to them? I do not exaggerate when I say I avoid it AT ALL COSTS. I only speak when it absolutely, 100%, cannot be avoided.

As an INTP, I always find small talk irritating as hell. Also most people due to ignorance think that being shy and hating people are synonymous with each other, whilst they couldn’t be further from the truth. For starters, there are many extroverts who are shy; and many introverts like myself whom are not shy. I also don’t hate people, only that the vast majority of them are boring.

i try to avoid conversations but sometimes people come to my desk at school and ask me why i sit at my desk for the whole recess and draw. Than i say that i enjoy it and get back to whatever i was doing. After that, they call me shy, introverted, and depressed. I ignore them, than they don’t leave me alone. JUST LEAVE ME ALONE I WOULD RATHER SPEND MY TIME DRAWING THAN TO START THE DUMBEST ARGUMENT WITH THE DUMBEST PERSON EVER

5:29 As an INTJ myself, this is very true. Just because you are older/higher in position than me, doesn't make you 'superior' automatically than I am. If you want my respect, earn it.
@LordPepe-jh5dt
@LordPepe-jh5dt 11 ай бұрын
I've gotten into SO many arguments with teachers over the years. Last year, our team scored a first down. The band director didn't notice, and neither did the drum major. Nobody knew what to do, so I counted us off. People were a little startled, but we played fine. This new assistant band director was on a power trip, yelled, "Don't ever do that again! Only {band director} or {drum major} should count you off!" I yelled back "well MAYBE if {drum major} was doing his job, we would not have had to do that!" She responded with "well it sounded terrible!" This is where I drew the line. I knew that there was TECHNICALLY a power difference (she's my superior), but I was pissed. It's ONE thing to insult MY playing, but it's a WHOLE different thing to insult my bandmates. They're my family. So I just yelled back, "Do you want to come up here and play? Do you think you could do better?" I don't remember much after that. It's all fuzzy. I remember her getting up into my face talking about how I have problems with authority (I don't). At one point, she said, "YOU HAVE NO RESPECT!" At this point, I was all in. My bandmates were staring at me, and I could see a couple grinning. I looked this bitch dead in the eyes and I said "respect is earned, not given. Now, please get out of my face." She was going to try to keep me from marching that night, but there was no way in hell that was going to happen. First of all, she doesn't have the power to make that decision. Second of all, when she tried to bring it up with the band director, he shut her down because I'm an asset on the field. I don't know how I didn't get in trouble. I think it's because the band director took my side. People who are that unprofessional should not be in positions of power. A few months later, my bandmates and I were talking about personality types, and I was reading out mine, and one of the guys was like, "That makes SO MUCH SENSE?" When I asked him why, he said,"Do you remember when?" I HAD ALREADY FORGOTTEN 😂

The problem for me (an INTJ) is that I need to have things done this way but feel miserable when I don't, which sadly happens a lot. I would also comment on "doing things efficiently", many times I can be such a perfectionist that I begin to do unnecessary stuff to make something I care about the best way as possible which consumes a lot of time and energy thus creating tasks I am not able to fulfil.

I'm an intj University student. I stopped going to lectures because I feel like the lecturers can't teach me something that I can't learn by myself. So I really resonated with the independence part of the video. I have actually found that I get much higher grades when I teach myself. It might also be because I was taught in a homeschooling setting and thus I had to be independent and manage my time efficiently. Now I genuinely cannot stand going to lectures I find them mind numbing especially if lecture slides are provided before hand..

What I do is find ways to keep my mind engaged. Over the summer I had a job servicing defibrillators, and managed to hit record numbers by changing the order of the process and by using things like a second battery to allow me to do two things at once. After you reach that stage where the rules coalesce and telescope into one act - an art - look for ways to make it harder without effecting performance. In my case, I tried memorizing the defibrillator ID, and then date, and then battery date, to grow in some way (my memory in this case). Just keep pushing yourself, but try to not be too hard on yourself. Otherwise you fall into a habit of worrying about anything that MIGHT be counterproductive/ineffective.

living life as an INTJ in the US (can't attest to other countries) is like living life as an involuntary villain. especially if you're female and even more especially if you had a traumatic childhood. people will either love you or hate you, but more often will hate you and will go out of their way to make your life a living hell, and ultimately ruin your life directly and/or indirectly. so yeah, wonderful experience all around.

As an Intj, I do have a good amount of empathy, or at least I try my best to do so. The problem is that not everyone nowadays does and thus go off of present-nows instead of thinking how this will effect the things around them. No one wants to listen anymore and I see that as the major downfall in everything, thus why I try to get myself in an area of respect so others are more willing to listen: people will not listen to those they seem less to them but they will to those they follow, or that is what they see it as.

As an INTJ personality, I like to see a video about the dark side of the personality. I had this big group of friends. I hung around with about 20 people. There was a person I really thought was a friend. I was very surprised when he betrayed me. Usually I can tell when's someone not really your friend and I usually avoid them. I did not overreact. Just move on with life. I was like screw it. But then that person who betrayed me started attacking my other friends because they were my friends. This crossed a line for me. Then I retelled. Not violently, I just whispered in people's ears and allowed the seed to grow. Manipulating people allowing them to believe that the idea was their own. I did not directly tell people what to do. I just simply said watch him do this. Then when he did it in front of them. Because they were paying attention to it, they came up with their own conclusion. Of course, I told them what I thought. But I let the thought grow in their own head. No one is this person's friend in my town they hated his guts. No one really knows what I did, nor do I ever need to take the responsibility or take credit for it. I don't need to win a popularity contest. I know people I know what they're going to do before they know they're going to do something, and I allowed for this to work in my favor. Has this happened to any other INTJ ???

For more fun but subtle techniques I'd suggest y'all look up some counter intelligence techniques books. That way you can use them if the need arises and more importantly so you'll recognize when some high functioning sociopath, psychopath, or malignant narcissist is running one of those plays against you or someone you care about.

Well played. Once, I casually warned one of my enemies that I don’t tolerate bull crap from other people and that I will get physical if needed. I said this in front of my group of friends on purpose knowing that this guy would aggravate me again in front of them. (He liked to show off). He finally did and I got physical as promised. I did get in trouble with a few people except those that heard me say what I said. They defended me by saying, “Well, he did say that he retaliates and the guy should’ve taken that as a warning.” In the end, I got back at my enemy, made a statement and kept my friends.

Now I see why ENFPs and INTJs fit together that well. The INTJ works quite fine where the ENFP fails and the other way around even though they could have the same thought at the same moment. And they share some things. I'm ENFP and one of the few things that would enrage me are inefficiency and incompetence. I may have more patience when people are in a position in which I don't expect them to know of the things in front of them, but if they are in a position in which they should know what to do and I'm facing plain incompetence and inefficieny, my blood starts boiling quite fast while being overly sarcastic and direct. I even understand the "hate to work on autopilot". I need challenges, I love knowledge. Independency is also a big thing for me, but I want to achieve it with someone together, since I absolutely love to see others succeed, too. I love lone strolls through woods and fields, too, even though I enjoy having people around me most times.

This is interesting. I started reading a couple of years about the INTJ type and it just made perfect sense to me - it was an epiphany to me to understand more about how I operate. I then did a few tests and I came out as INTJ which didn't surprise me as I had already felt an affinity with the type. It helps me to understand how I think and how to operate and the strengths and weaknesses I have and how I have always felt different from most other people (although not as different as an INTJ female who is even more rare!)

Man, this is so relatable. I left 2 jobs literally because the manager and the colleagues were absolutely incompetent. Not even because they were stupid, but they just refused to put in the effort. Or when management is one decision away from setting up a structured work environment with everyone knowing their roles, but instead they just talk about how it should be done, but don’t do it, as if waiting for some magic to happen or for someone else to create the thing they want. It’s extremely frustrating. I can’t even say that I know everything, but everyone’s just so unserious and careless.

I honestly don’t relate as much to the feeling misunderstood part that much because I have an INTJ father as well and we have an identical sense of humor and think similarly. I’m lucky, there are a few things though, like our inner world is different, we have different ways of accomplishing a problem, but they are always the most efficient ways we can think of. I just finished it, the autopilot description was astoundingly accurate.

I find out today that I'm supposed a INTJ and a lot of sh*it in my life start make sense to me. I've been struggling negatively with myself because I thought I was so weird. That's why I failed so many times and thought I was a failure. I like to create plans and turn them into methods for myself, but I found this strange. I could study things, turn them into methods, and sell. Looks good, right? I always had problems with my parents and I understood why. They are the "it will work, just believe me, just starts, God decides" type. I hate being around people like that. How do you fuc* know it works if you don't even has a base where you can think correctly??? Don't make sense. I thought those people was full crazy and life a big injustice. Why did I fail when those people achieved success? Looks like, I need to adapt to myself now. I'm not a failure! * And stop with this "it will works" without a good base.

I'm INTJ. I don't really like to go through the topics like "INTJ are like this or that,..." because I kinda get the feeling that I am disrupted by their definitions and thoughts about INTJ. Coz there can also be the things that I'm actually not. So those kind of videos with the topics I mentioned before make me think of me as another person and doubtful about me being myself. But curiosity~~~ But I do can relate the things in this video really well. I really like it. ^^

According to the MTBI test from Managmentmania, I am INTJ. As a child, I always said that I did not belong on this planet. It just drew me to the stars. Nothing failed me, I had to research everything and find out how things work around me and with what purpose they were built. Even when I was about three years old, I knew about the flywheel motor for toys, even though I had never seen it or researched it, I just knew it existed and wanted to explore it. Unfortunately, don't think it's a gift. On the contrary, over time, it became a night wall..... On the other hand, I can create and test all creations (projects) in my mind at the same time and come back to them at any time and improve or complete them and then keep them for possible need. Unfortunately, everything on this planet is mentally turned towards the people of Earth, and that's why I will never release anything, except a small thing for everyone to use. Sometimes it's better not to lead and be the sheep. I am very much looking forward to death and with it the arrival of freedom and peace. One soul one universe.

It's great you presented not only positives but also negatives of being INTJ. Good video. Also - it would be interesting to see team made fully of INTJs work on some difficult problem together. Would they enhance each other's effectivness thanks to their similar analytical approach or would the cooperation of several introverted and strict people have problem with creating proper "team jell" (without some extroverted mediator)?

Personally it always feels the right thing to do where others think I’m taking extreme measures to solve a common situation. Though I don’t regret any of my life decisions but i do understand why it’s an issue with people as they tend to put so much emotional values into their decisions.

As an INTJ who grew up home schooled in a family of 8... I do, in fact, absolutely, NOT need a plan. We would literally make things up as we go and that was that. Because I was home schooled if we wanted/needed to go somewhere we left "as soon as we were ready" at any time of the day. Day trips and mini-vacations were like that too. Dad comes home from work and decides "time for a bike ride" or we finish our homework in the morning and mom decides "Oh? well...who wants to go to the park!". Do I like having a plan? Yes. Do I hate it when the plan is derailed? Also yes. But I do not need a plan, I am a very go-with-the-flow INTJ *so long as a plan has not already been established.*
