It's about the right time to have a first look at how the Scape has developed and it has developed really great! Amazingly healthy plant growth, vivid colours and lots of oxygen pearling. A shame we have to trim these plants back today!

Really useful to see freshly cut plants, feels so awful cutting them and not knowing if you have gone too far or too low. Lots of beginners wouldn't know what to expect but this shows it really well. It's normal for them to look a bit sad and I would love to see how they grow back!

Thanks for the tips and thank Florian for being a good sport and letting us see his work. Question: Can the trimmings of the plants be used to start new plants or plant a tank? Is so, and you have tips, feel free to add those insights to a future video. That also brings to mind, do you obtain plants from "the wild" locally and use them in your projects? Thanks, Jim

I never use plants from the wild in my aquariums. never tried .. Using the cuttings is possible if you need ;)

can somwone explain why people dont use overflow style tanks with sumps for planted setups? ive been thinking about using a red sea reefer for plated setup.

Dorian F I’ve seen plenty of people use Red Sea tanks setup for plants. It’s just that canister filters are too popular among the planted tank hobby.

Die Uniq FS ist eine sehr Unique Lampe, man bekommt verdammt viel für den Preis. Viele beschweren sich mMn nach zu unrecht über die Bedienung. Es dauert etwas um das ganze zu erkunden aber wenn erst einmal alles eingestellt ist funktioniert alles sehr simpel, Profile lassen sich problemlos runterladen und installieren. AquaGrow hat auch eine App angekündigt

@@JurijsJutjajevs Wenn man bedenkt das AquaGrow im prinzip ein kleiner 1 Mann betrieb ist finde ich das schon beeindruckend. Ist natürlich kein vergleich zu Twinstar oder ADA. Lassen wir dem ganzen Zeit zu reifen

Finden den preis fast noch in ordnung. Die lichtpower ist wirklich überragend und am ende bekommst du sogar pflanzen rot, wo du im leben nicht dran geglaubt hast, das die rot werden können 😂. "Billigere" lampen wie zb chihiros bekommen die pflanzen nichtmal ansatzweise rot im direkten vergleich. Wenn du wirklich das maximum an farbe aus den pflanzen rauskitzeln willst, sollte man zuschlagen. Falls irgendwann mal eine version 2.0 mit vernünftiger steuerung rauskommt ist das sicher eine der besten lampen am markt.

Honestly I wouldn’t recommend neither, since I haven’t tested them myself. Based on the lights I currently use, I would recommend either Twinstar 600S III ( 3.gen) or the hyperspot skylight.

The old light was better in design and calm the eyes. The new light brings the color more vivid, better details.

@@ganeshdathkhoonkhoon1379 i think he used the aquagrow solid bars (aqua-grow.de/solid-led-serie/). They are running on 24 volts, can be controlled by an tc420 and are ridiculous cheap and efficient! The white ones have a 141 lumen/watt rating, rgbw are less efficient, but still awesome. So no real DIY, but more self assembled from pre built parts.

Das Licht der uniq ist der Hammer. Die programierung vom Smartphone fast unmöglich und man braucht fast zwingend einen PC. Und selbst da ist das alles noch sehr kompliziert. Wer schmerzbefreit ist, bekommt was feines, oder einen nervenzusammenbruch bei der Programmierung.

@@JurijsJutjajevs habe die lampe. Von der theorie kann man das. In der praxis ist das alles nicht so einfach. Mein controller verweigert sich im wlan einzuloggen. Zugriff auf lampe also super umständlich. Wlan vom controller nicht wirklich stabil. Wenn der pc im nebenraum steht kannste das alles komplett vergessen.

@@JurijsJutjajevs grundlegendes problem an der Programmierung. Über den graphen die punkte anlegen ist OK.... das funktioniert aber nur am pc und nicht via smartphone. Via smartphon kann man die punkte aber manuell setzen. Hier kann man jeden punkt per zeit (in Ziffern) und prozente via miniaturschieberegler serzen das man über den miniaturschieberegler nicht wirklich genau die gewünschte prozentzahl einstellen kann, sollte klar sein. Da man am ende alle 6(?) Kanäle einzeln programmieren muss, wird man schier wahnsinnig. Wenn man alles erstmal eingestellt hat, funktioniert es aber alles ganz gut. Wenn man aber am verlauf oder ddn zeiten etwas ändern will, sollte man einen tag urlaub einplanen.

It is a very nice planted tank, but Florian used really great hardscape material in a great composition and this vanished under the plants. I think this is a pitty because if there was no hardscape just the plants cut into shape and you would poke three sticks in between, nobody could tell a big difference. I would have placed the hard scape more in the foreground so that the glossostigma is the only plant between the glass and the stones and leaves enough space for all plants in the back which are needed to create the triangular shape. The middle ground plants should start between and behind the rocks so that the hardscape stays visible even if it is half overgrown.

Jurijs Jutjajevs but C02 is so expensive😥 are there any cheaper alternatives? Also what do you think is a good light? LED?

@@niclawrenson1906 No CO2 is the alternative. But not really. Since plants will never look as colorful and healthy without it. I´d recommend investing in CO2 and you'll have much more fun with your hobby.
