When I was younger I really did not think I would live to be much older than 35-40. I tried a lot of things and worked dangerous jobs. I traveled all over the world and the US. My body took a beating from all the things I did when I was younger so I am paying for it now. I should have worked harder in school and continued my education so I would not have to work such a physical job now. I'm 58 but feel like 98. Twenty years in the service was rough on my body for sure.

At age 62 it's catching up with me and I have a lots of health issues but they haven't completely stopped from enjoying my passion which is hiking in photography but I have slowed down dramatically.

People who say 'money doesn't make happiness' are people who have money. Yes, money creates comfort; it's really tough to be happy when you're worried about losing your home. I think often that seniors don't offer us wisdom. There's no wisdom in saying 'money doesn't create happiness' when you have money. She even said, we have money. It's more poignant when someone tells you that we're not built for happiness, but with a gnawing need for purpose. I was extremely poor and homeless in my late teens and early 20s. I can say with certainty, that having a roof over my head and food to eat has made all the difference in the world, and I had to forgo dreams and spend time around the clock working to make that happen. I had no time for friends or family, because work was priority. Only rich people say 'make time for family and friends; the rest is false gods'. You can't have friends if you have no money. People avoid you like the plague if you can't afford to participate. And family are ashamed of you if you don't earn a decent income. No, I'd say to young people, hustle, get your money earned; don't spend it on bars and restaurants, but invest in real estate, learn a business, and be self employed. Friendships are usually 'deal' friendships and not genuine. They're highly overrated. When you're 90 all your friends are dead anyways. No, find a business to run, find hobbies to spend time with, and you'll be happy. Oh, and tend your health, because whether you die young or old, poor health is no fun. Of course we're looking for security. Doesn't every 90 year old want a secure home, food, safety? Security comes with money in the bank.

Money, a lot of the time, allows for happiness. If you have fun travelling - money. If you have fun gaming - money. If you have fun playing sports - you need money to pay for the equipment. Pretty much any sort of hobby requires some amount of money. So, yeah, maybe 'money doesn't make happiness', but money is a great aid in creating happiness. Once you have enough money, you can explore, discover, innovate and create. Through that you might be able to find purpose, be it difficult or easy. Money is necessary to live a long, happy life.

You've come to the right place. I was 24 years old at some point in my life too, and I'd have to admit you have more awareness about what your goals in life are. I didn't have a sense of direction at 24, but I was able to turn it around at a later age in my 40's. Keep going and keep learning. It's perfectly normal to experience anxiety, we may feel lost at times, that's okay too, as long as we don't dwell in that feeling. Recognize that these feelings are temporary and we can continue to work around them. That's the beauty of being a human being. Peace!🙏

The body ages but the brain seems to stay young if you are healthy! You feel as though you want to do the things that you did when you were young but your body holds you back! My advice to young people is don't want and expect too much! If your goals are too high you might never reach them and then you will feel cheated! Do your best and don't let hardships hold you back! Keep persevering and be a good person so when you look back you will have few regrets!

Balance is so important. And what "being in balance" means actually changes a lot in life and is much more difficult once you have a family and children. And if you are "out of balance" that might impact your healt, your mind, your relationships and all other things in life negataivly. And since your body and mind is so intertwined you should always ask your self what is the real reason your want to do something, is there a deeper need? That helps me to stay to stay in balance and make better decisions. Greeting from Germany. I love your channel! :-)

The only way in which money buys you happiness is if you can plan with it to have time and money at the same time. Working upteen hours a day till you are 65 or 70 so you have more than you will ever need is furtile. oh this hurts, my mum was 80 and die 2 weeks ago. I cannot bear to go on. She was in perfect health, exercises/went to the gym, never drank, never smoke then out of nowhere got cancer. I'm so sad for her. Everyone was shocked because of how active and healthy she was. I'm so sad for her. I really thought he'd have at least another 10 years left. She was as active as a 40-50 year old. You wouldn't have thought she was 80. I miss her so much and I wish I'd have taken a year off work and travelled the world with her on my coin. I am devastated. I want to die.

Grief is the hardest thing we have to go through in life. I’m sorry for your loss. My mum died at the age of 61 only 5 weeks ago. I don’t have much wisdom to share other than be gentle with yourself. Take care!

I'm so sorry for your loss😢. I feel your regret that you didn't know to take the time off to spend with her. Now you know that, do it for yourself or any other loved ones you may have. Your mom lived her best life, and it was her time to go. Celebrate her life by living the best of your's. Life can be short. Be happy ❤

I'm 65 and financially secure and that leads to less stress I don't have to worry about scrimping on every little thing as long as my health holds up then I should be okay if I didn't have financial security it would be a lot more stressful and I would be a lot more unhappy with just living so money buys the foundation for happiness you may be unhappy after that but that's a different matter. Lo..key infomercial by the way..
