Yes I can see that working cause you have to wonder who the good guys are going to face off with in any novel or movie. I think it would be a great way to bring back maul now that his master is completely gone he could go to their home world and try to make an alliance with what ever faction has accepted him to go after the new order before they can rise to power should be intresting and I hope that we get trailers for that rumored movie.

“A species from Legends..”. Those Marvel comics are canon. The Legends species you were thinking about are the Yuuzhan Vong. And the sequels left off in the same place as ‘Return of the Jedi’, since they were pretty much just a reimagining of the original trilogy.

Does anyone even care any more? They successfully butchered the franchise. It would take a lot of Force to revive it and Rey's the last person to do that.

The Rey movie can work, if they simplify the story telling. Less of her training Jedi. More of her being a Jedi, and helping and saving others. We want a hero to cheer on to victory. Just give her villains to oppose her. And a goal to reach. That is what fans want to see.

People don't want simple stories of heroes and villains, they want overly complicated mystery boxes and girlboss characters who are right even when they're wrong.
