Something to keep in mind is that dashing gives you tension not based on how far you travel, but base on how long you hold it. So A.B.A gets quite a bit of tension for how little she travels forward. It's something that might be important in niche cases.

its very important because install + k-super is one of few ways to neutral skip vs passive opponents

@@mojolito FYI the super is way less advantageous if your opponent air blocks it on reaction to the super flash (ridiculously easy). You're still plus, but not enough to threaten any multi-layered mixups/pressure. It's still a decent whiff punish though, as even if you don't get a punish the attack might snipe their jump start up. Most opponents will simply opt to take the mixup instead of potentially eating a ton of damage. But if they're just sitting around blocking- don't even bother. It's just a basic knowledge check.

Something useful that's kinda obvious but you don't really think about is that it doesn't actually stop unless ABA gets hit. So you can keep sliding under Axl 5P and Nago 2H without a care in the world and still get in.

Frenzy and astonishment builds so much meter and I don't really see people using it. The fact that she can build meter at a distance is absolutely ridiculous. Zoners basically give her meter for free. She's a beast actually. Love her mechanics.

I hope this stays cause her base form definitely needs it lol. So wild you can hold back while moving forward with her though [Note for those that can't surmise why it might be a bug] I would assume this would be semi unintentional due to how her dash/run works in base form as her JR form is a traditional run (just a solid speed with no ramp up, ramp up could just be set to start max intended speed, etc) which many characters already share so it can basically share code. Different entire movement (dash/run hybrid) can lead to specific bugs such as being able to hold any non-jumping direction while moving forward. Cause honestly who is going to think that's going to work when all the other characters with a run, it stops you? It's the main reason why this video exists. Not many would think it would work.

@@NoSmoke1 Made some edits to preface why it may not be. But it's likely it will be left alone. But the reason she loses it in Rage is because Rage has an entirely different dash. Like entirely different code is running for that run.

Thanks :) I plan to co main her alongside my usual Goldlewis. Shes a complete snowball of a character, with some of the most insane offense in the game when she gets into rage mode, but if the opponent knows how to lame her out she can feel pretty weak. Overall its week 1 so I don't have a REAL opinion besides shes epic fun but very volatile :)

@@Morchunkisbecause it’s likely unintended tech that occurs due to her unique dash And given how everything else works in the game, they probably didn’t intentionally design it that way Still, they might see it as harmless since her dash speed is so slow and just leave it in

Does this still block lows and crossups, or is it just mids?

Whatever block you are holding it will block, so if you're holding to block highs it will do just that.

Sorry I'm having trouble understanding, don't all characters in strive have the ability to dash block? What's the difference with ABA?

There's no difference she's just really slow. It's the same way you dash block with every character in every game.

@@blooddumpster3427 No there is a difference. For other characters, you cannot hold down back while still moving. But with A.B.A even if you hold down back during her dash, she still moves forward.

Pot and Nago can't dash block because they don't have dashes or runs at all. Leo, Gio and Johnny only have a dash and yes, they can dash block. Everyone else has a form of running, but ABA's is distinct because it STARTS as a dash and turns into a run. Every other runner just starts running when you hold down dash.

You can hold downback while holding the dash macro and still move forward
