I've been binge watching your videos all-day it's now 4pm .. I live on the east coast of the north island ... You are one of a kind clay . An amazing man ... Your kontiki video has to be my favorite. And the one when you out on the lady's farm and found that honey in tree .. I'm learning so much

It is beautiful there. I was the same way when I could walk around and fish also, everyone called me Compadre, because almost every night I gave them fish. "Compadre" means Good Friend, almost like a brother.

Set a net yesterday off the beach up here on the kapiti coast, got 4 big gurnads, a few big kahawai, a red cod, a few decent sharks and a jack makrel believe it or not! Best haul we've got in years! I'll message ya a picture 🤘

Great video Clay. Looks like you want to sharpen the tips on that treble or whip it off and go with a single hook. It's amazing just how many more fish you can hook and hold on them. It's also a lot easier to sharpen a single on the go with a small whet stone. Keep up the fantastic videos fella.

Write Santa a letter to see if he can bring you a shimano rod and reel seeing he never brought you that bike you wanted. He never brought me my bike either! What a _ unt! Try this clay and let me know how this works for you. Get rid of all your treble hooks and replace with single mustard hook no1 and notice the difference as you will land about 90% MORE FISH and it also allows the lure to move better in water.👍

A tip for trawling is to take the treble hook off and put a single hook on, they tend to set a lot better. I’ve lost fewer fish since doing this to my lures.

Treble hook was loosing your fish either blunt or bent or too large for the smaller fish mouths use a decent single and easier to remove and lasts longer

Hey bro really enjoy seeing your life styles. I'm in Christchurch but have been up that way a few times and so know how magical it is. I do a lot of fishing down here particularly Kahawai at the river mouths. I see from another comment that the lure was new. A number of years ago I stopped using treble hooks in favour of a single hook as it nearly always ends up at the side of the fishes mouth. Only and I say only on the very rare occasion is the fish lost and if so through my poor technique. Also catch and release is very easy if you choose as the hook is always at the side of the mouth. So next time may I recommend a No.3 hook instead of the treble just to see what results you have? Best regards and again I'm certain you bring a lot of joy into peoples lives by your positivity. PS I'm also a muso so if you're ever in my neck of the woods please look me up for a fish and jam. Greg.
