Although my experience as a caregiver is very different, I can relate to so much of this, including my son receiving treatment from Boston Children's Hospital.

I think there a few takeaways people can get from this. There are complexities. A lot of people assume brain injury means one thing, and that's "human vegetable". It's either that or it's not legit. It's probably not easy sharing personal details and challenges either because people judge. But I guess people judge everything, so who cares

Nailed it on all accounts. Tv and movies do a big injustice to what a brain injury is. People only know what they hear and see, so we also can’t totally blame them for their lack of understanding.
