I picked up the 36v a couple months ago from tool Barn for like 120 bucks. Came with a free starter kit (multivolt battery and charger). Then metabo has a free battery rebate going on. Amazing saw, love the quiet mode

Just finally picked up the 36 multivolt saw with the current deal at lowes with free battery rebate. Awesome framers and concord carpenter sold me on it due to the lightness. I still have my m18 rear saw but honestly the HPT feels like a feather in my hand that is used to the m18. My freehand square cuts are more accurate with it since I don’t compensate for the m18 and other brands saws. Really enjoyable to use.

Have the 36v version of this tool. What I like about the saw is the “silent mode” as really does make it “quiet” but will amp up when need that power. Few things don’t like about the 36v version is the no bevel stops, and the levers for adjusting depth/bevel, as they ain’t special at all, & kinda wish were like the Milwaukee or DeWalt levers, but….gets job done. Do think releasing an 18V version, along w/ other 18V tools, alongside the 36V line is awesome for ppl on the 18v platform as not losing out at all, and it’s nice when companies don’t forget about older platforms or discontinue them b/c newer one is priority. Metabo has some nice products but unfourtunality in Canada they don't stand by their warranty. I'll elaborate. So I used to install garage doors and was a dewalt user and there chuxka on the impact guns and their trigger were junk. So I got the hpt impact 36v and was driving a 3" deck screw and then the motor sparked up and literally caught on fire. They warrentyed it so when I got a new one I babyed it and it happened agian. So I sent it in, and they said this is the last time they will warranty it because I was doing it on purpose. I told him why would I do that I'm a sub contractor who needs it to work not being fixed basically called me liar and said they will not warrenty if it happens agian I laughed at the guy and said why don't you figuer out why it is happening and he told me I'm the only one he's seen that has had this problem I belive that is a lie it was a 3" deck screw that did it to the both of them. Like the gun, but when it has bit the dust, I will be going to Milwaukie next.

Metabo has always had the worst battery powered tools on the market. Loves their 120V grinders but after that they suck.

Blade is on the WRONG side. I would Never buy a circular saw with blade on the rt side
