*This is my **Newest.Technology** second one, the first was for my older car. Alexa works way better than an FM tuner bluetooth or for hands free calling. We found it also worked great on the boat. That is why we now own two Echo Auto's.*

Point A to point B transportation, reliability, low cost. That's all you need in a car. People go out and finance a vehicle that drops in value the moment they start using it... smh.

I love my Echo too and I can afford to buy any car I want. I've had a Corvette and a Tesla S before. Those cars perform great and are fun to drive but I prefer to drive a beater and I like efficiency. The Echo is one of the most reliable cars ever made. The fact that it has no luxury features makes it more reliable than other cars that do. Mine doesn't have the fold down rear seats like yours does (must be nice mr money bags over there).

Got mine 6 years ago, a 2000 Echo with 64k miles on it. Now it reads 140k miles and still going strong. I drive it to and from work everyday, about 42miles/day. Even in snow. Very reliable. The only thing to watch out for is its body roll. Because it sits high, it's center of gravity is not well anchored. Quick turns specially at high speeds to avoid collision is not its strongest attribute. It spun out on me once on the free way and I have started slowing it down ever since. Otherwise you would be driving 80mph and not even notice it. Amazing car for the price overall. Mine has paid back its value and then some just from the $$ saved at the pump.

@@kylemas2005 Hope it'll last as long. I sold mine few months ago for $2000 cash. Bought it for $6000 at 60kmiles, used it everyday for 7 years and put 80k additional miles on it and still brought me $2k cash. My favorite car thus far. Shame I had to let it go. (Family needs / kids)
@kylemas20055 жыл бұрын
@@danyyboye If you were to look under the hood of a Mirage and see how simple it was, you'd be convinced of its reliabilty. Toyota is king of durability, but Mitsubishi isnt that far behind. MirageForum.com is full of owners with 150k plus trouble free miles including both manual and CVT transmissions. The Mirage is slow off the line and a little loud on highways, but bigger thsn you think and comfortable.

We are the proud owners of 2 echoes. We bought a 1 owner echo with 24K miles on it in 2003. I sold my VWbug & was driving up our street when I saw an Echo with a forsale sign on it. I am the proud owner of a 2003 Toyota Echo. Currently has 128,000 miles on it. People tend to judge this car negatively based on appearances alone. But boy, they don't know what they're missing out on. Echos may not be the prettiest, but they are super-reliable, low maintenance, and they get the job done. I'm convinced that Echos are amongst the most reliable fuel-efficient (43 miles per gallon!) cars ever made. Plus, they have decent storage space to boot. Toyota needs to bring these kinds of cars back on the market (with perhaps a more aesthetically appealing design). Nowadays people are looking for a car that fits into a niche, fuel efficient, cheap, sturdily built, economy car.

I love the echo so much !! I had an accident and sadly it was totaled ! This car had about 400,000 miles on it and ran like new ! Everything this reviewer said is spot on ! I am in process to purchase another echo, best vehicle I've ever had ! This car will get into your blood the longer you drive it ! 40 mpg, handles like a sports car, parks easily unto tight spots , can't even hear the engine at 80-90mph ! I am in process of finding another echo ! Toyota only made these for six years to 2005 ! However , they are not for everybody ! Need I say more ?

If there was a nuclear or chemical war tomorrow, I would abandon all the other cars and take the Echo with survival gear. It would be my SHTF car. The Toyota Echo is like the cockroaches of cars. It will live forever because it’s simple, cheap on gas, easy to fix and will run forever. Meanwhile the gas level in fuel gauge of the Ferrari will drop if you just look at it funny.

I fill it up once every two weeks which costs $18.00 plus some change with current gas prices (compared to my former 1995 Jeep GC which demanded $30.00 plus to keep from getting dehydrated. Loved her too though. RIP.) Echo's are more than worth their weight in gold in reliability, fuel economy, and overall just a joy to own. Was offered $2000.00 for mine a month ago. Turned it down. I used to drive an echo back In 04 as my first car. Oh memories, I was a teenager then. Perfect for someone that age I guess. Now I have a 2008 Lexus IS 250, which would blow the echo out of the water in terms of speed and weight. I also drive a 2018 Toyota Corolla I use for Uber. Overall Toyota and their luxury line Lexus are great cars! Even the old echo.

I own a 2010 Yaris Hatch, very useful, reliable, economical and they're not gonna build them anymore for the US market. The last few years, they were actually Mazda vehicles made in Mexico, I would not buy one of those anyway.

Yes. Higher mileage & lack of oil changes tend to burn oil because clogged oil rings. I currently have a check engine light w/P0420 . I need to replace my cat at 250,000 miles. I will replace cat and motor on.
