Thanks Mary - it definitely does help. Today is the very definition of ‘the bleak mid winter’ so I know where I’ll be going (after we’ve finished all the Xmas shopping that is!)

@@Grow_Up_Man55 they're hard to get in Quebec, I ordered this one from a nursery online. We usually only get the two common ones for outdoors.

I’m SO pleased B gryphon will come back… mine has totally defoliated (was in a 5c min glasshouse and now indoors). I hope you’re right and it will come back next year! Great tour again Geoff; I’m watching after a busy two days for Christmas and enjoying the peace of one of your tours. Happy Christmas to you and yours.

with the Begonia Connie Boswell, what if you just pinched off the growing point, would it start a new growth point from just the top node or would it send out multiple as when you pinch other plants?

It just seems to send out new leaves and the stem behind it grows longer. It’s worth a try though. Thanks for the suggestion.
