This video puts the top 4 cut compounds in my shop on the same panel for a battle royale. These compounds do the heavy lifting for us removing deep imperfections and oxidation on clear coat and single stage paints on cars, trucks, and motorcycles. Today, we will feature 3D ACA 500 Extre Cut, Sonax Ultimate Cut Plus, Xtreme Solutions Knockout, and Jescar Heavy Cut Compound.
The 3D ACA 500 X-tra Cut Compound helps you remove medium to heavy imperfections faster than before! The secret to the corrective power in this compound is the Alpha Ceramic Alumina. This water-based abrasive helps provide low heat output and high-speed leveling that will correct even the most challenging clearcoats. ACA 500 is easy to use, easy to clean-up (low dusting), is sun friendly and contains no harmful solvents, kerosene or OSHA regulated crystalline silica. If you have lighter imperfections or need to perform a second polishing step, the 3D ACA 520 Finishing Polish paired with a light corrective pad is a fantastic choice. When it comes to compounding, Jescar Heavy Cut Compound is formulated for the elimination of a minimum of P1200 girt sanding marks on fresh paint, deep scratches and more. Jescar Heavy Cut Compound works on different paint surfaces, as well as fiberglass gelcoat. Jescar Heavy Cut Compound is best used with wool or foam pads on rotary or dual action polishers. Plus, Jescar Heavy Cut Compound is silicon-free and safe for paint.
Sonax Ultimate Cut 6+ is designed to be an extremely fast abrasive compound to remove deep scratches and sanding marks. Sonax Ultimate Cut 6+ is made with pure, sharp edged aluminum oxide that will provide powerful and even abrasion to the surface. As powerful as it is, Sonax Ultimate Cut 6+ is water-based and made without the use of silicones or fillers, so it is body-shop safe. Even though it can easily remove defects from gel coat, Sonax Ultimate Cut 6+ is perfectly safe for even the softest car paint.
LVR 321 Knockout is an abrasive cleaner that removes 1000 to 1200 sand marks, oxidation, water spots and many other paint surface problems. May be used on a two stage and conventional paints. This fast cutting liquid compound quickly removes imperfections. With zero dusting, the professional detailer will find a major difference in time and performance when using LVR 321 Knockout. For maximum results, follow up with a Stage 2 polish and a Stage 3 glaze and then lock it all down with an Incredible topper such as LVR 357 Magnum Wax, Poly-Seal Hybrid Polymer Sealant or Topper: Top Coat Lubricant & Protectant.
