Did you mention the name of the pellets??
@FrankiesUploads

Thank you so very much, Honey Lou! Your continued support has been massively appreciated! I have used aquarium salt in the past with other aquatic critters that I keep, however I've never needed to use it with any of my axolotls thankfully. I do understand many have to treat illnesses such as fungal infections and such, but I cannot really have much of a stance other than that I'm afraid. So, the feeding pellets I use are made by a company known as Arcadia, the pellets are available online, and are called Amphibi Gold feeding pellets. I sure hope this helps! And thanks again for being awesome! Kindest of regards, - Frankie

Frankie's Aquatics sorry to bother but I’m super concerned for my axolotl. S/he has been pretty stressed with its gills forward and I don’t know why. My temperatures are always in the low 60s to mid 60s. My water flow is calm (I use a sponge filter). My water is hard. The tank is almost always pitch dark. I have plenty of hides. I did check my ammonia and it is at 0.05 ppm (nitrite nitrate 0) but I’m using prime conditioner and stability at the same time so that might not be it Every time I feed it, it’s gills move forward. I thought it was cause I was feeding it with a turkey baster cause I accidentally blew some air at s/he so I switched to feeding bloodworms in a dish but s/he doesn’t seem to like that either because the gills are still forward Or maybe my face is scary..... Please help! 😢

Hey there! Love your videos! Could you tell me when it would be safe to house my 3 baby axolotls with my sub adult that is almost full grown and the babies are about 3 to 4 inches long from nose to tail tip?
@FrankiesUploads
@FrankiesUploads 4 жыл бұрын
Hi there, Kassi! Many thanks for your kind words and support! So, you're best to wait a little while until your smaller axos are of a similar size and large enough to evade any nipping that may happen. Usually this is only done by accident, and usually around feeding time, but is certainly worth noting nevertheless. A small tip would be to feed each of them in their own corners, this way it helps keep them separate during meal time. I sure hope this helps! 😊💙🌟🌈

Hi there, quick backstory. I saw a very ill axolotl in a pet shop and I have a tank but I will be getting another axolotl soon.( so that would be two axolotls). Do you know much about I’ll axolotls and would a 31.5” by 13.8” by 17.7” tank be able to house two adults( that’s 33 gallons). Thank you very much.

Hi there, Jack. Many thanks for your comment! Firstly, do you know what the problem is with the sick axolotl you have seen? Is it fungal? Poor living conditions or something else that might contribute to the issue? And secondly, your tank mentioned above should serve as good home for the two axolotls permintting you do regualr water checks and part water changes as needed, however I would strongly recommend that the sick axolotl is fully quarantined and treated before introducing the two, just to eliminate the chances of any contagious sickness' being shared between the two axolotls in the form of cross contamination. Many axolotl sickness'/illnesses are fairly manageable with correct diagnosis, and of course I'm more than happy to lend a hand as and where possible too! Kindest of regards, - Frankie
@jackmacfarlane875
@jackmacfarlane875 4 жыл бұрын
Hi, sorry for the late reply. I think it’s fungal gills, poor living conditions so not eating, floating and very very skinny . We might go to see it and possible get it today. Would the quarantine tank just be tap water treated with a tap safe solution or would it have to be cycled water. I could sent a picture if you have an email. Thanks Jack
