Seriously, how did none of these games win Best Music awards? Xenoblade 1-3 legitimately has music that's up there with the works of Jeremy Soule, Koji Kondo, and Nobuo Uematsu.

blames the Nintedog for it. This awesome game lose because its lack of fanbase and run in poor environment. If Monolith didn't being exclusively affiliate with Nintedog, and able released the game outside switch thus the game able to received major improvements in both visual and performances. I'm willingly to be that these game will more likely to get award at least in music performances.

I have not touched them. I am 38 and I miss 1st time playing through classic RPGs like Xenogears, legends of dragoon,wild arms, and all the FF's. Its hard for me to try new things probably because they aren't familiar. Could you try to sell me on one Xenoblade to play?

Xenoblade is a series of Action JRPGs, focused on multiple different topics. 1 focuses on a war taking place on two living titans, the Bionis vs. the invading Mechonis. 2 is about a group of “Drivers”, people who team up with living weapons called Blades, attempting to climb the tree in the center of their world to save people, as the living beasts everyone lives on are dying. 3 focuses on a group of soldiers from two different sides of a war attempting to stop greater forces at play who may be manipulating the war behind the scenes. X is its own thing, telling the tale of humans colonizing a new planet after Earth is destroyed. 1, 2, and 3 are connected, but you don’t need to play them in order if you don’t want to. (I started with 2 and was just fine. They are connected in the sense that they share a multiverse, and that’s all I can say without spoilers.) All 3 main games are available on Switch, and are super fun! They also have similar gameplay, focused on positioning your team just right to time attacks together in the right places. It’s real time, as opposed to turn based. Each game also adds its own flair to the combat. I hope this helps you in deciding if you want to play them!

If you enjoyed Xenogears, you will likely enjoy Xeno X, its the closest to a modern day equivalent and has a very cool mech combat gameplay and travel aspect, Xenoblade 1 has the best story and party chemistry, Xenoblade 2 is the most ambitious with the world and exploration content, as well as the most intricate battle mechanics and party building. Xeno 3 is the most polished and has the most versatile class system, and fixes issues the other two games had with very annoying game design issues, plus it tops off the story and concludes what the previous two games built up.@@Heroheart85

All of them take some of the spirit of Xenogears with meta physical concepts, existentialism, philosophy. Character designs, concepts, classes and the world as well

@@Heroheart85I'm 39, and Xenoblade Chronicles 1 is what got me back into JRPGs after a long hiatus. I don't love the combat and prefer turn based, but the story/characters/music/environments are all top notch.

I definitely recommend #1. The rest are good too. It depend on perspectives though. All of them are somewhat related. From the creator of Xenogears and Xenosaga series. Also somewhat related on matter of perspective.

@@tr1bes I'll get to it at some point when I have time. In fact, I already have Xenoblade 1-3 all set up and ready to go via emulation on PC. The only "Xeno" game I've ever played was Xenogears, which is still my most favorite game of all time. That game changed my life when I first played it back in 1998 as little kid. I understand that Monolith Soft is made up of many of the same devs behind Xenogears and Xenosaga. Unfortunately, I simply missed the wave. Even worse, I'm just so busy with life and work atm. That being said, I still come back to this mix all the time. When I do start playing, I will start with #1. Thank you for your insight :D

Goodness, I'm so glad you made a second channel. I've been using your Xenoblade compilations to study for the past few months so to suddenly find them gone for a second was frightening. Thanks for reuploading; keep up the good work! By the way, do you have a favorite theme from Xenoblade, and if so what is it?

I was quite shocked too! But I knew a moment like this would have happened at some point in time, so I was mentally prepared. Anyway, all Xenoblade compilations should be back by tomorrow! Choosing a singular favorite theme is really difficult, but I guess one of my favorites is The Tomorrow With You from XC2, I just love the way it builds up from soft and sad at the start, to loud and triumphant by the end!

man i love every xenoblade game. played them all at such an interesting time in my life. the night tracks in 3 really embrace that theme of growth and change and uncertainty about the future. like looking out a window when it's so dark you can't see anything so you can only imagine what's there. my favorite games of all time easy : )

it's genuinely so tragic how fast travel in xc3 set you to morning on default, so many of these night-time tracks feel so unfamiliar to me despite having ~150 hours on xc3, it's like i'm experiencing the same emotions i did while playing xc3, but in an entirely new way... reminds me why these are my favourite games i've ever played

Finally I found your new channel. Was starting to panick a bit after I couldn't find your videos in my playlist and couldn't completely remember your channel's name. I don't lisen to a lot of music compilations but you put a lot of efforts to make your videos. Also there is a typo on the channel's description, it days 2013 instead of 2023. Easily the best instrumentation of any RPG soundtrack artist! 😌 Mitsuda’s music has unmatched richness, sounds personable, naturally sentimental and grounded. Truly beautiful for ambient listening and never gets repetitive with consistent swells and deviations. Mitsuda masterfully uses the flute for some of the most touching, endearing melodies. Truly beautiful music. 🥲

The 2 is to my heart the more important, 'cause i started with it. It was my very first time playing this series, and i spent a little 255 hours or so, taking a pleasure i didn't knew yet, try harding the monsters, trying to get all the blades and the best equipment for the crew. And yet, xenoblade 3 hit me different. I've done the 1, the 2, but THIS game was something else The six of them having a whole caracter developped, when i thought some of the 1 and 2 were not that memorable, both main and secondary cast. They were all very unique, and that made them a perfect team to play with to me. The ouroboros mechanism is really cool, and what to say about that chapter 5....

Yeah. People said the same thing about 2 when it was being released, and X as well, purely because of a lack of the original cast with what appeared to be only loose ties to the original. They'll cook up a new excellent saga.
