Interesting chat chaps. On the NHS subject, I had one new hip last year and chose a private hospital to have my NHS op done. The doc couldn't refer me to the hospital, I had to go through connect health who are the middle men. I had my first appointment ONLY after a year's delay because of the disgraceful admin of that absolute shower!! As always it's a case of he who shouts loudest and I'm happy to report my second hop-op is coming up. The cues would not be as bad if the admin was sorted out! The popular front reminds me of Wolfie Smith 😀 Maybe the french politics thing could be because younger people don't know about the atrocities of the war ??? 🤔 Anyway are you watching the footy on Wednesday? 🇬🇧

I live in Bury St Edmunds, it had been conservative since 1885, it's now Labour for the first time ever, which proves that things are not working. I have worked on government run contracts, when they turn up for a site meeting there will be at least a dozen of them on site. Reqesting changes which increases the budget. Normal contracts can increase 10% and government contracts can increase 100+%.

Yes thats a good point, I know of contractors in the civil engineering industry who will bid for a contract at a loss knowing then can add changes later at well over the going rate.

My hobby is being a Radio Amateur and in the Licence rules we are not allowed to talk politics or religion on air which is the main cause of many wars in the world. Our politics has gone downhill allowing in Labour going to be a tough 1.823 days now Cooper is the home secretary with her policy. Everyone Welcome even illegal immigrants :(
