We didn't have time to focus specifically on the Rohloff system in this video but hopefully we'll have the opportunity to follow up in a bit more depth at some point. We've had plenty of experience with the Rohloff hub over the years and we're big fans of the system, the electric shifting (as used on the GSD R14) is an absolute delight to use and it suits the character of the GSD extremely well. We're looking forward to getting hold of the GSD R14 when it becomes available, so yes we can whole heatedly recommend it!

The frame welds are more apparent picked up by the overhead lights in the shop, if you see the bike in person it isn't something that stands out. Obviously it is possible to smooth off aluminium welds to provide a seamless joint by means of an additional production process but this would simply add cost without any determinable benefit. To be honest though, we've always loved the chunky nature of the frame along with many other GSD owners out there, welds and all!
