The Revolt 3 is the first ITX case from iBuypower that you can buy separately from a gaming PC system. It has an 18L size which isn't that small in the ITX case market but at the same time it comes with some pretty unique features like an included SFX power supply.

@@xXCrimsonWolfXx752 the reason why is because sfx power supplies are always more anyways. So a 700 watt power supply is a good deal for sfx size. Also the amount of people that buy a regular power supply when you need sfx is a lot more than you think.

I think that selling the mesh separately would be great! It could be a great way to customize it. I'd go for some more crazy colors too, like a bright green, pink, red, etc for like $15 each if that's profitable
@TK.919
@TK.919 3 жыл бұрын
I feel this might not be an option for them.. I mean they could totally have two versions with and without PSU, and it sounds to me they wanted to choose only one, not mentioning the mesh which more extensively complicates logistics and introduce more cost. Well it's just me guessing, maybe it's not a big deal for them to have all the options as they have a robust online direct sell platform.
@Bajicoy

A mesh material that size costs less than a dollar for them in bulk, most of the cost is shipping. Selling meshes is fine but I'd much rather make my own with a pair of scissors, magnets, and super glue rather than pay an extra $15 for already a $90-200 case.

@PabzRoz

It won't stop you from choosing your own power supply lol you can just replace it with your own if you really want the case that bad. Then you have an extra 700w gold sfx psu that you can do whatever with. $200 for both is a great deal once you see how much a gold rated 700w sfx psu is. For most people looking to build in an ITX case 700w would be enough and it saves them time and money with a pre installed psu with pre routed cables.
@CheapBastard1988

@@PabzRoz But then I'd throw the original PSU in the garbage (and there's already enough garbage in the world). Because I couldn't be bothered with reselling nor would I feel comfortable with selling some kid some off brand Chinese garbage PSU that has 700W 80+ Gold written on the side but can only provide 450W. If ibuypower would provide it with a 700W Seasonic or the Cooler Master 850W PSU I'd consider it but I doubt they could deliver those for the same price. The fact that they didn't disclose the potential OEM can have two reasons: 1. They don't know who will provide it yet or 2. the thing is some off brand POS. But being unclear on the matter really doesn't help.

As for the included PSU's cables. It's a little bit of extra work, but if you carefully split all the cables apart it makes them 10x easier to work with. I did this once with an ITX build with a Corsair PSU that had those fused style cables. Split all the cables and then used a few pieces of velcro tape around each one to make them neat and tidy again and then was able to work with them very easily after that.

From further inspection, this looks pretty much like what you'd get if you rotated the NR200 by 90 degrees - which seems like an interesting route to go for ITX cases I think it's priced really well, especially given that the clearest competition I see is the Meshilicous which is $20 more, but given the concerns you've pointed out, I'm kinda unsure about actually going for this case in the event I actually get around to serious purchase territory (which, given the current stock situation, seems like a distant dream). Also, I think the $90 option without the PSU is the superior one, puts it in really competitive territory.

Nice to see some thought has been put into this, too many case manufacturers are rehashing old designs and cutting corners. Kudos to them for the USB-C option, if your board has a header then it's the best way to go, and if it doesn't you can still plug into the rear port. If your board doesn't have that then you won't care either way, though. If you're one of the 3 people who already own an SFX power supply, then bare-bones is a great option. I'd be leaning toward the PSU inclusive option, if it were a good model. The price difference looks to be spot-on the cost of a comparable PSU. As for that mesh panel, either do away with it completely or replace it with a proper mesh filter.

I don't currently have an SFX PSU, so I'd probably get the included one because it has the shorter, pre-installed cables so I know everything will fit. If I already had an SFX PSU, I'd probably re-use it and deal with any cable issues myself. Good to see them offering both options though.

Option 1 Should add radiator support to the front of the case as well to make this case a great option for watercoolers too

With a facilitation of adequate airflow and spacial interior design, this tower is certainly some wise recommendation for PC builds.

The case and PSU are a great price together. But that depends on the quality of the PSU, cables, modularity. I just picked up a Silverstone SFX-L 800 watt Titanium for $220 by itself so I think the case and power supply together is a great deal. I'd suggest offering the extra insert colors as like a $15 extra separate purchase if I want to change the color at some point.

The search for a perfect case continues. The mesh options are either too large allowing dust in, or too dense choking off air flow. They almost nailed it with this case. Still waiting for a ITX case that considers 3xxx or 4xxx Founders Edition cooler designs too.

The no psu version is going to be easier to sell off the shelf, however, an option to order one online, with the psu all ready installed, direct from the manufacturer could be an option for ibuypower to explore. The color options are very nice. The gold and silver are very classy looking. Perhaps adding other color options in the future such as red and white to appeal to a larger market.

Option 2, case only allows folks to choose what psu they want. Though having both options would be ideal. Personally I would like silver. Adds a little change in colour letting the case pop a bit

Option 2, case in white with the gold/bronze mesh. I agree with sentiments below, make mesh something you can purchase alone.

They should offer both buying options, for those who already have an ITX system and want to swap(Case only) and I think its the best budget ITX case ive seen.

Case only, black mesh, gimme gimme gimme! For real though, I'm kinda loving this in concept at least. Other than no ATX PSU support, this seems more appealing than the SSUPD due to mesh all around instead of a TG panel, riserless design, and lower price. I've got the SSUPD on order but I might have to replace it with this when it becomes available. I'm really liking the ITX tower trend. Smaller footprint means less desk clutter or even putting it next to the TV without looking too out of place.

i think they should definitely include the psu as an option, mainly because its "peace of mind" because then you don't have to worry about being able to get you hands on a psu like that, and i think its a good deal

Option 1 sounds like a good deal if it comes with the special 12 pin connector for the new nvidia founder cards. Option 2 is a good price too if they iron out the problems you mentioned. Would like to see this in white or silver!

Case only @ $90 and I'm definitely buying one. I already have a Corsair SF600. I'd go for white personally for the mesh, but selling extra swappable meshes could work.
