Hello everyone, it is nice to meet you again on my channel! Summer is the good time to enjoy various kinds of vegetables! My parents has also harvested some kinds.
Today, I am going to cook a Japanese traditional dish which use variety of vegetables. It’s called Nikujaga (Stewed meat and potatoes).
I am sure the taste will impress you for the first try and keeps you coming back!
Here is the recipe:
00:00 harvest potatoes on the farm
00:47 introduce ingredients (potatoes, carrots, onions, green beans, shimeji mushrooms, konjac noddles and sliced pork)
01:07 peel potatoes, carrots, onions
01:43 rinse under water and cut konjac noddles
02:26 cut carrots, potatoes, onions, green beans, sliced pork
04:02 start to stir fry the meat (2tsp oil)
04:25 add potatoes and carrots
04:44 add onions, konjac noddles, shimeji mushrooms.
05:13 season the mixture
Water 700ml
Mirin 100ml
Sake 50ml
Soy sauce 250ml
Sugar 120g
05:37 put a drop lid and stew in 30mins
05:57 add green beans
06:12 serve on dish
The way to cook is simple. The ingredients are easy to find. Certainly, this will be one of the easy food you can cook at home. When I miss my mom’s dish, Nikujaga is always first in my list. If you want to taste a Japanese traditional food, don’t forget this food!
