for me when I was in the UK (in my later service) a Sunday was spent traveling back to camp and getting my gear ironed for the next day! As a young lad it was spent on the piss and trying not to be hung over on the Monday morning parade! lol

@@JakesJourneyMate bugger off lol 😂😂 I spent 14 and a half years in QRH lol the only good thing about KRH is kingy 🤣🤣 he’s an absolute legend lol good look on the outside though mate, the grass is greener even though I miss it every single day and only got out to stay in Germany with my missus. I’d get back in tommorow if the reg came back to Germany but I’ve landed on my feet and so will you mate 🤜 take it easy enjoy Xmas and look forward to ya new chapter 💪

I was expecting a vanlife daily ritual but then I realized you are not living in a van full time 😅. Nevertheless, I still enjoyed watching this lazy Sunday vid. I think I need to get that ironing table cover as I easily get frustrated whenever I can‘t get all the creases off of my clothes 😂🤭

It may have changed. But In the first 6 weeks no you can’t go home or leave camp. After that, unless it’s a working weekend or you mess up then you’re good to go 🤙

I am ex forces 63. Single guys on camp complained about paying food 7 days a week when some went home. Typical forces Army and RAF changed to pay as you dine. Instead of paying £3 a day for 3 good hot meals you pay 50p for breakfast cereal. Starve to save.

My ex was a Royal Engineer and I'd go on base to visit him ocasionally if he couldn't or didn't want to drive home. We'd share a sing;e bed and just watch movies in his room or go away for a couple nights. I liked the base but he made sure I didn't meet anyone else if he could help it. Not sure why.

Your ex didn't want people seeing you because as a civilian your not meant to be on the camp unless you have been cleared by the guard commander or provo sargeant or you work on the camp. I always knew the guard shift Rota so I could persuade a mate to let the barmaid who usually dropped me off after a night out through the gate and that's probably how your ex used to get you on camp too I would have thought that kind of stuff wouldn't be able to happen these days with the security risk but I suppose where there's a will there's a way 😂

My fkn word how things have changed! We'd wake up in our 8 man doss, get a shower, cookhouse then straight back out on the piss again!! Kit was squared away Friday afternoon so you could fall out the shower, throw it on, a swift off brush Monday morning then first parade!! Rooms look decent too!!
