A Tenerife Adventure Episode 1 - Mount Teide Volcano

I’ve been planning this adventure for six months, an epic 3 days riding a Royal Enfield 500cc in Tenerife.
Finally, day one has arrived. I arranged to pick the bike up from Easy Rider Tenerife, (easyridertenerife.com ) on the Monday morning. Paper work done, it’s a feeling of excitement and trepidation as William takes me to meet the bike.
There she is a black Royal Enfield Classic 500, with timeless olive green canvas panniers. My grin was giving away how I was feeling.
With the bike started, slipping into first gear, I was off. The Tenerife Adventure Episode 1 - Mount Teide Volcano, was underway.
The ride up was just epic, I was lost for words with the roads and landscape. AND it was sunny and warm at 23 deg, C.
Grab a Sangria or a nice cuppa and let’s ride in the sunshine.

I bought a Classic 500 soon after I retired in 2006. I loved riding over the Black Range in SW New Mexico. Unfortunately, I had a stroke last December and my left leg and arm are still numb, so I'll be riding along with you for a while exclusively. Thanks so much, love your channel!

Jealous of you Dave, doing that ride on an Enfield. Have done it myself in a hire car a few years ago. Truly the most amazing and beautiful landscape. And what a brilliant road!

The green in the rocks is copper, iron is orange/red, my mother and my younger sister, both geologists climbed to the top a few years ago. my mother was 90 !!

Currently watching you enjoy wall to wall sunshine in 24c temperatures whilst out of the corner of my eye I can see my neighbour scraping ice off his car windows..! I know where I’d rather be 🤣🤣.

Hi Nick, I saw the sun this morning and thought it's bike time, then I saw the frost and thought maybe not. I would go back in a flash. It will be summer here soon, 😁 warm rain 🌧️ Ride safe mate

Well there's a turnup! You are warmer than us, we used to holiday in Gran Can, but now it's too expensive, as we have to fly to Spain, or UK, then on to Canaries! Beautiful Islands and scenery, and many happy memories, ENJOY, and return refreshed, Cheers from us all in "Chilly Malta!

😅 I think it's called reality Dave, having said that, the sky through our front window's pretty similar to your sky on Tenerife - until I opened the door - brrrr! Never mind buddy, spring's around the corner. 😎🥶 Btw, I can't help thinking that blue tinge to the rock across there might be copper. Cheers and ride safe. 👍

Great video, I've been on Tenerife many times and been up to the top of tiede once , it really is an amazing island . I have also visited la gomera on a bus tour it's also a really nice island . I would love to go again but on my HNTR 350 as it looks like fun 👍

It would take me two days to complete this road. Stopping every 3 minutes to admire the scenery... Very nice video. Funny to see warnings about snow 😆
