Who were Daft Punk?:
Daft Punk were a French electronic music duo formed in 1993 in Paris by Guy-Manuel de Homem-Christo and Thomas Bangalter. They achieved popularity in the late 1990s as part of the French house movement; they also had success in the years following, combining elements of house music with funk, techno, disco, indie rock and pop. They are considered one of the most influential acts in dance music history. They announced their split in February 2021.

As someone who grew up listening to Daft Punk there's not been a period in my life where I haven't listened to their music. My greatest regret is not getting the opportunity to see them live. If you need help getting over the Daft Punk blues I highly recommend listening to some of their other alternative projects such as Stardust 'Music Sounds Better With You', or Thomas Bangalter's individual work such as his Roulé record label. His Together collaboration with DJ Falcon with songs like 'So Much Love To Give' and the original edit of 'Call On Me' which was then remade by Eric Prydz into the same hit single; are honestly some hidden gems that are highly recommended. Whilst Thomas and Guy-Manuel together make a fantastic duo, they're both individually incredibly talented and chances are if you love their music you'll love their individual work and projects. My heart goes out to these two musical geniuses and I hope they never stop making music!

A good litmus test imo for a masterpiece album is if every track on the album (excluding bonus tracks and the like) could be considered a single. Discovery pulls that rare feat off.
