SAUCERS: When you go antiquing, look out for clear glass dessert and salad plates! I have a huge collection and use those under plants - but be careful to look for the thicker ones that can hold the weight of a pot. Also, you can sponge on several colors of gray paint to make those terra cotta saucers match your concrete pots! (at least until Unique Stone hears you and starts making them to match 😃)

Anyone else use Garden Answer videos as comfort? I swear it’s as good if not better than Seinfeld to ease your mind. A show about nothing or a show about plants- I’m for it all. Love your channel and what you bring to us in such a time of need. My plant hoard has grown since subscribing, and I’m not one bit mad about it.

Oh man, you must be getting so excited. I just had a flashback to my second pregnancy. At the end, I all of a sudden realized I didn't want to deal with two kids in diapers so I told the older one that we would only be able to afford diapers for one baby so he'd have to stop using them and use the toilet. That was all it took, he was potty trained! So funny. He's still a rule follower at 31 years old lol.

I loved this video. I found myself talking out loud as you spotted each plant you chose, saying..oohhh that one is different, calming, and cool, and then it would be one you picked! 😄 And Thank You for not speeding up the video as you planted these and showing close-ups of how much dirt you filled initially with and how you dig out the center. And also when and how much you rough up the existing soil before potting. Sometimes I wonder if I pot things incorrectly or if I rough up the roots, too, much or not enough. Fabulous plants, perfect pots, and great tip on finding saucers. I enjoy your content, your positive attitude, your energy -even when 9 months pregnant!! So happy to see another walk-through. After last one, my husband and I went on a road trip and bought some pileas at Andrews that I fell in love with. I mentioned that you had done another walk-through video, and he’s asked me 3 times if I had watched it yet, which MEANS he’s up for another road trip! And yes, I found some more plants and have my list ready! We quarantine so severely, these little get away road trips are our quick exceptions. I would ask though...would you walk just a little bit slower so I can browse with you?! I learn so much from your videos. So looking forward to the birth of Baby Girl, and finding out her name! Love seeing every garden center tour and the plants you picked up are gorgeous. 🌱 Dischidias are epiphytic and closely related to hoya so they prefer an airy and chunky potting mix with lots of bark. Mine live in almost all orchid bark and it did took me a bit of time to figure out the watering ^^

Just had the crazy idea that one could use the clear plastic saucers as a mould for making concrete ones to match! With a little antiqued accent it could look nice!

Plants add so much to a home! I'll say it again, you are indeed lucky to have such a wonderful place to shop for plants. No house plants to be had locally here, except for nearly dead ones. I need one of those Frosts! The best way I've found to be successful with indoor ferns are in terrariums, a no brainer, just add water once in a great while.

Sorry that this is off topic, but just wanted to mention how the Flower Alley project you did this past summer is so helpful now for planning what I want to do with my full sun pots this upcoming year. So many beautiful plants to easily compare and see all in one video (meaning the update videos for Flower Alley). You are such an inspiration and you have definitely broadened my gardening game!!

Dischidia are such easy and hardy plants and have gorgeous little star shaped flowers.
