PLEASE NOTE! Gertrude is like my sister who also loves her baths. Family is such a pain sometimes! But they make us laugh! The screen is wonderful, I like the side with mirrors.

LOL, the bloopers! 🤣🤣 That is one cool privacy screen. I like how different one side is from the other. I like both sides but if I had to choose......I couldn't! Gertrude is quite the character. I had an aunt named Gertrude. haha

Using the paper dolls and tiny mirrors is the most inventive idea. I just love the privacy screen! 💝🩷 It's beautiful. More importantly, Gertrude won't be flashing everyone. LOL

love this screen and I love love the prints you chose for it. Those cut outs are the type of thing I would buy and then they would sit forever in my craft room waiting for me to pull them out and use them, I see we are the same! It seems Gertrude is super pleased too!

Hello Dot, your screen is wonderful, I love the images on both sides 😍, the mirrors are a brilliant idea. I really do feel your pain with the hinges and glue, I'm building a row of cupboards for my room box and couldn't get the hinges to work at all, it got me so mad I ended up pulling them all off and sticking the doors on with tacky wax, it was either that or throw the whole thing out of the window 😬😂 I'll have another go at them at some point lol. Lol Hi Diane🤗 I like to include the bloopers because I know we all share the same struggles! I'm glad to know I'm not alone in hinges. I'm so glad you didn't chuck your piece out the window! 😅 I truly am going to practice with them so I can figure out what works. Oh my goodness! I love it. Well done. I don't have any advice about the hinges really. I wish I did. I love your bloopers. I have been hard at work finishing the renovation of our actual house and moving in and trying to get my studio set up, but I saw a few things that made me think of you so I picked them up and I want to send them to you. The problem is, I packed them up and now I have to wait until I unpack those boxes again LOL.

This was so timely as I’ve been planning a screen too! Love how yours turned out. As for the burb effects and the template moving etc, in the bloopers, that made me giggle too. We have so many of the same issues that we deal with. 😂😊

I love your screen! I’ve been wanting to make one, but I didn’t quite know how to cut the wood out. They turned out beautifully, and the idea about the mirror instead of the dollies face is brilliant! Now the dollies can pretend that they’re wearing the beautiful clothing themselves! Good job, my dear! Ps I’m going to send you some more mirrors and some more acorn charms! Lol

Aw you are so sweet Becky!🤗 I was thinking this could also probably be done with layers of chipboard also. I have no doubt whatever you create will be beautiful. Let me know how you decide to tackle the hinges. I need to practice. I still have two mirrors. I know I'm going to be using one in the dorm bathroom, hopefully with one of the frames from Jolene. There are still so many treats in my cigar box! 💗🥰✨

Lovely screen ❤ don’t worry about the hinges 😅 it’s not just you, you should see my struggle 😂 but I did find a way that works for me, I place the hinge between two layers for the door and I make a slit in the door frame and push it into the slit😅 that’s how I saved my sanity 😂

Kara! 🤗 This is a great idea! I would have to be very careful on such a thin piece of wood but I really love this idea. I think that's really more how they're supposed to function. Just for the record, Amazon is selling that wood you have as "basswood" but it isn't really that at all. It is plywood with a basswood veneer. (There is a worldwide shortage of basswood these days and the price has gone up and availability gone down.) That is important because, as you say, it is virtually impossible to cut this plywood without a saw or some sort. One could use a coping saw if you are good with that. But using a craft knife is very difficult. So buyer beware. When Amazon says "basswood" look closely at the description because it is most likely not.
