The Apple Blossom Mall is a regional mall located in Winchester, Virginia. The mall serves as the retail hub for both the small city of Winchester as well as surrounding regions even branching out into West Virginia. The mall initially opened in 1982 under New England Development. In 1999, the mall would be acquired by Simon Property Group, who still owns (49.1%) and operates the mall as of the making of this video. In 2007, Simon would announce plans to redevelop Apple Blossom Mall into a lifestyle center, but these plans would not come to fruition. Instead, five years later in 2012, a renovation of the mall would occur, which would update its image to the one seen today. In spite of Sears closing in 2019, the mall still retains anchors JCPenney and Belk, as well as a decent occupancy level and foot traffic levels, permitting this mall to thrive as a primary retail center for the area to this day.
