They attacked a compound that had children in it. I don’t really know how they expected a group of armed Americans to react.

"There are women and children in here!"

It's disappointing to know that the people we count on as professionals in situations like these, failed so miserably. The fact that no ATF or FBI agents got disciplined for this is maddening. This is exactly why people become radical and hate our government. This was SO EASILY avoidable.

The Feds knew that David left the compound every Tuesday and they could have apprehended him then. This was about a show of force they wanted a fight but didn't expect to get their ass handed to them in the initial raid.

These people died so that ATF could show off their military style tactics. David went into Waco every Tuesday and could have easily been taken into custody there but the lead agent wanted to “take him down” in front of his followers.

Regardless of how crazy Koresh was, the Feds fired first. This is not up for debate.

To suggest that it was an ambush is totally absurd. How can you attacking their compound be considered an ambush?

I just don't understand how this was let go without and repercussions, me and my father talk about it all the time and he says that back in the day everyone knew what had happened and everyone was mad. So much for being a tougher generation.

Self defense. It's gonna happen again if the government keeps pressing it.

Fun fact: a lot of ATF, FBI agents that died in the gun battle died because of friendly fire.
