I've had them my whole life too. A few times a year. They used to go for up to 10 days, and I'd lose up to 12kg. For 38 years I didn't know what it was and lived in fear. The pain and distress was terrible. Until a doc at the hospital said I think you're having an abdominal migraine and gave me a largactil infusion. Now I take 50mg largactil instantly, and it always works. Sometimes i have to dose regularly for a day or 2. I'm so happy I never have to go thru it again. If I could have ended my life by pressing a button during those attacks, I would have done it many times.

People don't see how painful these are, Mein last's about 15-16 Hours most of the time they Start at 3AM and end at about 7PM

The brain stem comment is what solidifies my suspicion that I have this. I have dysautonomia and many other issues that are related to the brain stem. I started having these episodes when I got covid 2 years ago and they have never stopped. I think I finally figured out what is happeningto me from a lot of different clues. I had an emergency room doctor suggest that it could be abdominal migraines. Mine get so severe that I get dehydrated and depleted and have to get an IV with medicine to recover. I kept thinking if I could just find something to take at the onset that could kill it off before it gets extreme I should be OK. Now just to find a doctor that can help me with that.

i have been getting stomach/abdominal migraines since i was 5 years old. i would end in the childrens hospital roughly every 3 months. i am now 34 and still get them maybe not as often and slightly different compared to when i was younger. i use to vomit alot of blood as kid, now its not so much. usually i feel nausia, really bad stabbing pains, dizziness, weak, sometimes a sort disorentation…my mums, dads mum my great grandmother use to get them aswell. no one else in the family gets them. at times i might have an attack but not last that long with a shower or relaxing helpsnget rid of it, sometimes once it comes on, its to late and i need hospital treatment. it has effected alot of jobs i have had. i usually start a job, that can an episode end in hospital for roughly 3 days. sometimes longer than get let go. i have always taken sandomigran tablets last year a gastro speciliast started me on amitryptline. since than my attacks havent been as often..so far

Can the child get dizzy too with abdominal migraines?

I get seveire migraine and achy chest and achy abdomen. Been suffering for 30 years. No solution was found . Nausea, and buckets of fluid comes out feel very weak after.skin gets very pale and pain lasts 2 to 3 days any suggestions or treatment.

i get a lot pain in belly button with acidic gasteric and head ache around eyebro and some times cause vomiting is it migrane ? if it is then is it head migrane or abdominal migrane

Bring the Teleprompter (computer or iPad I guess) up higher so your line of site is closer to the camera and it gives a more personal experience by being able to lookin to your eyes. Doctor I wasn't quite able to understand another cause of migraines I believe you said an over or hyper sensitive brainstem. You didn't give much of an explanation of that clinically of course. From my understanding a lot of abnominal symptoms have to do with vagal nerve imbalances a cranial nerve # 10 that eminate from the brainstem and his parasympathetic in function. Besides the usual diet limitations and experimenting with drugs that sometimes don't help or cause side effects wouldn't it be prudent for a doctor whether it be neurologist, a general practitioner or for a gastroenterologist to try a course of treatment of manual therapy like cranial therapy to see if that will calm down or modulate the nerve. Some P.T.S L.M.T.S AND chiropractor offer that type of treatment.

My daughter is about to be 8 and she will have them that last for 2-3 hours with nausea and stomach ache. And when it over she is ready to eat and play. Her father has migraines. He last episode was in October. For a while it was twice a mouth. I cut out dairy and processed food. I have added them into her diet and I feel like they are about to come back.

I have abdominal migraines as an adult for around 1-5 or 5-10 days a month. When they are active. It seems to be linked to hormones I think. I also experience prodome, and a little aura. I’ve never found a cure unfortunately

My daughter started at age 4 with bowl migraine now at the age of 43 she still suffer,s from head migraines. He said chocolate arrrrrrrrr don’t say that to a migraine sufferer.
