Join my and a friend hiking two of the best walks near Abergavenny. Skirrid Fawr, also known as Holy Mountain, and Sugar Loaf. Beautiful views, car parks close by and just challenging enough but not too difficult.
Abergavenny is around 2.5 hours drive from London so it is a great weekend away from the city and these two walks make a brilliant weekend escape,

Two favorites of mine Richard. I imagine it was a breath of fresh air for you. Well, one can only walk a river for so long. Iooked pleasant on both days. I was probably watching you guys from Hereford. I gaze at both nearly every day. Well, fair from above. Mark

Good evening Richard, and congratulations on bagging the two absolute little beauty's! Abergavenny is a cracking little town too. What we know of the Cornish pasty, is that it was a one stop meal, half savory, half sweet, the crimp used was how you were supposed to hold it, soothe main parcel wouldn't get dirty, we think, well that's what we've been told 🥐👍❤ great trig up the sugar loaf too! Well done Richard. Walking those hills certainly tests those Day Tripper legs. Looks like you had decent views for the majority of the time. The mist often affects the higher peaks though as I found out in the Lake District this week!

Hi Richard, great shots good to see York out. The bird is s Skylark, difficult to spot usually in line with the sun, when ever I try and spot them. They have a lot of energy to keep going . Someone else has mentioned about the pasty. With the crust around the edge for holding, then discarding. Atb the best.
