They asked her if she could write a song and she said sure and she got those fingernails going and got a beat and then wrote the song in one day .. !!! She’s so smart!! She says she wants men to think she’s a dumb blonde cause that just helps her in business cause they don’t realize she’s really smart so she knows how to get the upper hand on business deals .. Elvis wanted to buy her songs and Dolly said oh no they are mine .. The Queen politely told the King.. so Kevin Costner just wanted permission to use it for the Bodyguard and Dolly said hell yeah that young lady’s gonna make me rich !! 😆 and Whitney made Dolly rich !! Still is the biggest selling soundtrack to a movie ever. !! Till this day !

Also watch “Steel Magnolias”, Dolly held her own with some of the greatest actors ever. Sally Fields, Shirley McClain, Olympia Dukakis! Young Julia Roberts and Darryl Hannah round out a spectacular cast in a beautiful drama (many laughs too) about female friendship through the years! Dolly Parton is just one of the best humans on this planet! Her contributions to the Covid19 vaccine (millions), her literacy campaign to put books in the hands of children who need them, plus multiple other ways. I’ve loved her since I saw her on the Porter Wagoner show as a little girl.

She was also in a movie with Burt Reynolds called The Best Little Whore House in Texas and Steel Magnolias

The movie is from the 80s and it really holds up. The pacing is a little slower than what we're used to in today's movies but it's still a fun watch.
