Hi Ballinda, I did Access to HE Diploma in Health and Social Care to get into Social work. I achieved 42 Distinctions and 3 Merits on this programme. There is an element of driving due to Social work being community care based job. So I've changed my career to clinical psychologist which is a clinical based job. I will be studying Bsc Psychology mental health at my chosen Uni this September. For me, my course was still worth it, as 3 of my course units were in psychology relating to childhood studies and mental health which I've recieved distinctions in them. Overall, this course for me was worth doing! I'm so sorry to hear that your Access course dissapointed you within your career path.

Thank you for the video❤️ You made me scared. Had to resubmit my first assignment today. Im currently doing the access to medicine and also studying for the UCAT. The UCAT is an exam from HELL! DO u think if I've got just one pass or merit out of all my modules, will i still be able to get into medicine?

How many hours were you studying a day during the access to medicine pls?

That depends on the exam or assignment. If I had exam most everyday 6-8 hours with constant breaks in between. With assignments not so much because I found them easier all resources for them are online.no need to study

Hey Belinda what are the requirements to do do the access course.? In terms of English and mathematics? Since I only have English ordinary level 😁without Mathematics

You will have to have mathematics Gcse level 5 at least depending where you are applying to some require level 6 but most colleges will allow you to do one gcse alongside your access courses

Past papers in what? I didn’t use any past papers for the access course I only use past papers when preparing for the medical entrance exams

Yes I did in all my modules which meant I got distinctions overall. Some assessments I got merits but if a module is made up of 3 assessments 1 merit and 2 distinctions equals to a distinction for that module
