Although I do cover N scale. I think I will get one of these models in OO gauge as they look nice. Same with the new Class 60 from Cavalex Models that is coming out. Happy days! .

Absolutely beautiful model and have 4 of them but Accurascale failed in not allowing the pantograph to sit flat in the down position which is strange to say the least and not mention the panto head looks overscale compared to the Bachmann 90. Other issues I don't particularly like is the visible PCB thru the grills & cab door window and not too sure about the shiny or glittery silver colour of the Euro Tunnel rings which has also been applied to the front cab handrail.

@@00VirginTrains1 Yes agree and hopefully they will but should have been picked up & sorted in this first batch. If it sits flat in the 2nd run then they will not look right next to these ones.

Accurascale have done a fantastic job on this model but sadly its let Down by them awful pantographs. When the pantograph is in the Down position it sits flat on the pantograph arm not up on an angle like they have done on the model. The Revolution Trains model in N scale has tiny pantographs yet they have modelled them correct unlike Accurascale what I find strange considering OO is a bigger gauge.

This is something i will address in part 2 just been waiting on my new DCC controller to test it! I agree a little sloppy there but my word its a beautiful model overall and looks stunning!

The clip is not broken but it is a rubbish design which falls out readily. I have glued mine in with superglue. 3 of the 4 panels had fallen out which needed regluing. The bogies have a great deal of play in them so falls off on corners with heavy trains, but OK with low rolling resistance trains, like 10 x Hornby KFAs (Freightliner wagons). Still apart from that its a good model. Accurascales no 1 focus is fitted detail for a competitive price. Personally I wish they would produce more durable models with good track holding. Although I would prefer Bachmann in this respect they too have their problems. The newest Class 20s and 37s have unsecured motors which rattle unless you pad them out with cardboard.
