He never said the British are coming because they were British themselves. He said the regulars are coming meaning a regular member of the armed forces.

saar144 Bill Burr is the greatest. But if he keeps heading down the Louis CK dad-joke PC/SJW road he's been headed since his baby girl was born we're going to have to turn to Jefferies for all our dirty comic needs. It's a shame what success does to artists. :/
@saar1446 жыл бұрын
For me, it's the recycling of his material on over-population that is getting old. That's the reason that I didn't like parts of his last special. Re: Louis CK, for a few years now I find hum quite unfunny, it's like he's going through the motions with the jokes he writes.
@negativeindustrial6 жыл бұрын
saar144 I appreciate the overarching theme of overpopulation. Plus, I agree with his opinions - we REALLY need a plague. I've been joking about that ever since I first learned the population figures at various times in the 20th century. So when I heard Burr making similar jokes was when I actually became a fan
@saar1446 жыл бұрын
Don't get me wrong, I completely agree with him on the issue, it's just that he overused it - it's the 4th special in a row that he dwells on it. It has got redundant.
@negativeindustrial6 жыл бұрын
saar144 Interesting. What I see as a bridge, an overarching theme, you see as beating a dead horse. Human psychology as it pertains to perception is crazy interesting. It's illustrative of why eyewitness testimony is wildly unreliable.

interesting not one sports related question. Doesn't seem like DPs contemporaries like CC and SAS can or will venture too far away from sports. Im Australian so seeing Jim talk a bit about Aus sports with DP may have been interesting.

My Phone It's called success. It weakens you - dulls the edge that artists need to produce good art. Happens to artists , musicians and comedians (Probably dancers too but I wouldn't know cause they aren't real artists :p
@ausraider6 жыл бұрын
Can you seriously not gauge the tone of the interviewer?
@hearmysong1016 жыл бұрын
Because a mainstream interview has so much to do with his standup routine. Disclaimer: if you invite him to visit your grandmother he'll probably make hardly any dick jokes.
