This needs a million views. Also, this is one of the most reasonable projects I've ever seen. :) Good job, well done! Honestly, I don't think most of the world outside of R/C *really* understands yet just how ridiculous the tech has gotten. Low internal resistance lithium packs, modern ultra low RDS mosfets and rare earth magnets are basically like unobtanium. Let's be honest here, they're so ridiculous that they've made ORBITAL liquid fuel rocket boosters with them as the turbopumps. And for the record, turbopumps in rockets are insane all by themselves. They're literally liquid pumps that are themselves powered by another rocket engine that blasts it's output across a turbine to spin a pump. (Well, okay, gas generator, but it's still basically a fuel rich rocket...). A turbopump is one of the most insane things I can think of that doesn't self destruct (Okay, sometimes they do, but eh)... Lipoly/brushless stuff truly is insane.

Nicely done Mike. Run was super smooth and I think if you add just a little more distance, your way into the 170's. I know you saw my crash, so just be careful out there. The term "blink of an eye" is so literal when it comes to these incredibly fast rc cars. Onwards and upwards to 200!

@@MikeStallone oh crap now I have offended you. I didn't mean a terrible video. My wife, for example would say why are you just watching a car go up and down the road? With no understanding of what has gone into the build, the prep and the run itself. But she also doesn't understand why I sit in my shed for hours fixing one of my RC cars then go out and play with it only to break it again. Then spend time and money to fix it again. I will show it to a couple of my friends who have no interest in RC and get back to you.

Can anyone explain to me how they can get "20 hp" out of these motors? 20 horsepower means 15kw so around 500amps from 8s batteries. That seams ridiculous to me, a 15kw motor on an Ebike would be 10 times the size of this thing.
