@@BudgetingandSavingswithVe its not as simple as "Good thyroid = baby" some people cant get pregnant because it would literally kill them, or they never had a period/ovulated, or even they had been pregnant before but something went wrong and something got damaged.

My wife and I are thinking about adopting. We haven’t had a child. My wife has psoriatic arthritis just diagnosed in 2019. The medication she is on for this doesn’t help with having children. We are 42 & 43 yrs old. My wife is a 6th grade teacher, reading specialist and I am a school/home/community based behavioral specialist consultant. I am not sure of the future but we are interested in adopting. Not sure what the future holds but these videos are good information.

If I may ask, what is the cheapest way to go about adopting a baby? I know private adoptions are really expensive, but foster care is cheaper. But not many baby’s are in foster care

If your parents are really messed up can you be considered for adoption or does it seriously affect your chances of being approved? My parents have serious criminal history and drug history but I of course do not. I don’t want their choices to affect me helping a child in need :(

I usually find that most people at your stage benefit greatly from understanding the pros and cons and costs of each type of adoption before they make a decision. @@adelehardy 👌 both of them will need their own separate lawyers to do the adoption. They will need to make sure that the lawyers are experienced in adoptions and have done ICPC adoptions before

Hi! The process is definitely not the same for a teenage child. That's usually foster care adoption unless you're adopting a relative

I was considering adoption, but I’ll do IVF instead. Cheaper and easier. Funny, anyone can get pregnant and have a baby...but, they make you jump through hoops to give an unwanted child a loving home.

The law gets pretty complicated for nontraditional families. I have a friend who does a lot of adoptions for nontraditional families that I usually refer folks. Let me know if you'd like the referral!
