We all had a picture of how our adulthood would turn out to be while growing up. We couldn’t wait to embrace the word ‘I am an Adult’ so bad to enjoy the rightful privilege denied to us when we were kids.. Mom/dad would tell us “wait until you become an adult “ and that sentence lived rent free in our heads as we eagerly built fascinating stories about the hood! On the reals, now that we are adults and the reality of it has downed on us, there are so many things we wished we knew/taught before tapping into adulthood.
On this episode, shared a couple of them on money, careers, love, sex, parenting and general responsibility that comes with being an adult. Well, is adulthood a scam?
Enjoy the listen and follow us for more content!

Balancing adulthood and motherhood is hectic , do they ever balance out really? I marvel at how people get time for family work themselves and still friends , I'm totally zoned out not because I want to but even creating time for myself is like once a blue moon , rarely!

i do agree with Murugi when she says that there are people whos intentions are just to hurt people. Its not about corrupted chilhood, but they are real psycopaths. They dont have the empathy but their job is to see someone being hurt.......This episode am gonna re listen it.

God knew we needed you, since coming across you guys l have realised how much crap l have had to deal with alone. God is definitely amazing because l have seen him first hand but meeeen do we all need a professional to talk to. Wish me luck guys. As for you two ladies, when l make my first million pounds l will fly both of you to a destination of your choice by private jet. God bless you always, you are doing amazing. Free Therapists

Adulting gets much easier with competent partners but they are difficult to find because there's alot of pretence in the way people present themselves and alot of people also don't work or Don't know how to work on their issues, which always always present themselves later in relationships.

I’m working on encouraging the expectation that things will last. I had so many disappointments growing up that now that I’m trying to adult I almost always place a “dark cloud” over anything good. So, I’m working on allowing things to naturally play themselves out instead of trying to terminate things before their time just so I can “stay in control “.

Wow! I like the parenting bit so much. I am a 24-year-old and I have always wanted my first baby/ babies in my early 30s specifically 32. I am so serious about this that I want to freeze my eggs as soon as I can afford it. So I shared this with my mom five months ago because I wanted her to be prepared to be my support system as I go through the process(I hate needles) and she wasn't for the idea. So the other day she met up with some ladies her age and they were wishing they knew they had IVF as an option, they really would have taken their time getting kids. Now she understood where I was coming from. Then hearing Murugi encouraging it made me feel like I am really making the right decision. And I also follow parenting pages like Lydia also...Just to be prepared. Glad to see that I am not alone and not weird at all. Keep up, guys!

To paraphrase Murugi, "There are people who are just bad people, they hurt others for no reason. No matter how kind one is, some people will do one dirty. Just because one is good it doesnt mean good will be done back to them. Being good could lead to getting used" So relateable. Some people are just shitty human beings. They know what they are doing. They are toxic and manipulative. They are just bad and they get worse with age. They have perfected the art of manipulation. They conciously are shitty every day.

Great episode girls! To the point on the responsibility of feeding the family especially when nanny is away, have him/her prep several snacks and meals to store in the fridge/freezer before s/he leaves for the weekend. I think in regards to the letting your children see you going through life situations,it could be done child appropriate. As a mom I believe we are given the ability to know what's right for your child.so emotions can also be shared.can be scary at first but it helps your child express themselves.i have noticed my child become better in communicating since she knows mama understands since I saw her cry yesterday....more mature than her age emotionally for sure . Usiende kulilia mtoto hapo for an hour pliz ukitukana babake though😅😅😅kindly.
