Steven did you have to go to the dealership to get your radio flashed after installing new amp and speakers, I will only be running fairing and lowers fairing speakers!

They are actually super easy to out on...you can have these installed in less than 30 minutes....I have to make these videos because people dont take the time to understand how they go on and as soon as something doesn't go right they think something is wrong with them.

@@sikbaggers so i have a 2012 RG but due to my size 6-5 , i had my foot boards moved forward along with shifter, will these still fit? Also i have the SE heavy breather, will that need to be changed also?

You should be ok with the boards ...I have only seen the Kuryakyn extended brake pedal cause an issue before. Guys run long boards with the lowers so you should be good.

Well lets talk about the hogworks ones...they are selling the 13 down style as fitting 14 up because they technically fit both bikes as the crash bar did not change. The 14 up ones are much better built but like you said they have a smaller door. The ones we sell for 14 up are identical to the HD ones and same for the 13 down. You can put either one on either year bike though. Ive had mine on for 3 years now and I thought the same thing, that I would take them off in the summer. I havent yet. I just open the doors up and point them towards my motor to blow some of the motor heat off. Either one will work for your bike but the 14 up lowers are much better built.

Appreciate your response Steve. My biggest concern was the air flow. Summers around the DC area can hit 98 with index of 105 and it's hot, thick air..... I guess the smaller vent door wouldn't hurt that much. since it's small, it may condense the intake air and force it a little harder through. Again, appreciate the response. I'll most likely stick with the Advanblack. I got the Deep Jade Pearl color match extended bags and am very happy with the quality and the paint. been good to me so far.

Same here in illinois. Very hot and muggy. Its minimal difference and I guess I just got used to it but I love them after 3 years.

Yes the STEVEN5 should still work..if not try the HD5% and see if that does.

Please send me an email with a picture of where it wont fit..the pre Rushmore and 14 up Rushmore master cylinder is in the same place..the notch you see on the Rushmore models is for the oil cooler...mine sit in front of the master cylinder so I need to see whats going on with yours... slhousden@gmail.com

Was this resolved? Having the same issue. Seems like if you slip it between the master and the bar you have to flex the lower hard to make it line up.

@@aaronbaggett5161 As I recall It took a bit of meneuvering and I do not remember just what I had to do, but finially got it to go into place. I may have left pieces loosly attached until I got it in place. Sorry I can't be of more help.

@@davidrumney9924 thanks for the reply. I found a video on another channel putting on lowers for a 2001 RK I think that helped. For someone else looking the lower goes on top of the master. And yes it is some maneuvering to get it in there.

Are they the lowers from Advanblack? And does your bike have a fairing with stereo in it?

No- I got these from JTD Cycle Parts site.....Series-2 hard lower fairing. my fairing is a Tsukayu with two 6x9 speakers.

oh ok yeah I was wondering how you had a stereo in that bike...but now I see. If that is just a typical car stereo in it then you should already have two RCA line outs in the back. One red and one white. You can just go from your stereo out to the amp "in" with a 2 channel rca cable. Come out of the amp to your lowers with regular speaker wire. I ran mine down under the fairing and then over to the lowers. There is only about 2 inches where you can see wire. I ran the wire up under the part where your foot goes up in to the back of the speaker as you seen in the video. On your bike you would just have to find a good way to run the wire and hide it...I cant really tell unless im looking at it. Once the speaker comes from the amp to your speaker your good to go. Also need to find a place in that fairing to mount the amp. Once again I cannot really say where that would be unless i had it right in front of me. But wiring is all the same. RCA out of stereo to RCA IN on amp. Speaker wire out of amp to speakers. Le t me know if you dont have 2 RCA channels out of the stereo...you can use a cheap line converter to get around that issue as well. And ill explain how to use that if you need it.

Yes they will fit HD lowers.

No sir they won't clear with any lowers I have tried to install.. Had a few sets in the shop and none of them would clear a lower.
