Hey guys, this video is full of advice on how to style yourself on your headshot shoot - with your clothing, your hair, and your makeup! There are plenty of tips here for both MEN and WOMEN. Figuring our your looks for your shoot can seem overwhelming, but just keep calm and PLAN and you'll be fine! And remember, make sure that whatever you choose, you feel GOOD in it, and you look like YOU.

I would do it however you have it done most days. If you rarely straighten it, I wouldn't bother getting shots with it straightened.

Wonderful Advice! Do you have any recommendations for a good Headshot Photographer in Los Angeles? I think I will be getting a weave so I have less stress with my hair! Very excited about this upcoming year & hopeful to finally be given a shot!! 🥰😋😎😏

Ik it was 5 months ago but yeah sooo dont wear pastel colors or white bc it distracts from your face and dont choose any distracting patterns bc it also distracts from your face, hope this helps😁

In your headshot, your hair should look like you would wear it to an audition, or how you tend to wear it every day. Whatever best represents you.

Hey Amy! This video is from 2017 so honestly I'm not sure what makeup was on me at the time! :) For camera work now though I usually use the new Soft Matte foundation by Nars.

I have very very short hair so if I have a headshot or audition am I allowed to have a sew-in or do I have to have my real hair

If you like using the sew-in, and would be using in the audition, then definitely use it for the headshots. Any maybe get headshots both ways!

I'm not sure what that is, but don't use props in your headshots. Don't use hair accessories that are distracting.

Sorry for the late reply, but if it works well with your skin tone, and you feel good in it, then yes! Just be careful that it doesn't make it look like you're naked if the frame of the photo is too tight.
