A man wielding a sword attacked members of the public and two police officers in Hainault before being arrested, police said. The London Ambulance Service said emergency workers treated five people and took them to hospital. Police confirmed a 14-year-old boy has died as a result of his injuries.

Sadiq Khan is partly to blame for this, as he reduced the amount of Police in London. The nearby Barkingside Police Station actually closed down, so there is none nearby. If more Police had been in the area, more people would have been saved.

The only blessing here is that he didn't have a gun. The loss of a child is horrendous enough (and my heart has yet again broken for the family of this unnecessary evil act 💔), as are the injuries to the other victims. But I remember Hungerford, and of course, Dunblane, and I am so glad the government acted swiftly against inappropriate gun ownership. It's absolutely not perfect as seen in Cumbria, for example, but it's not the USA. Knives can "only" injure one at a time. It's _always_ one injury or death too many, and I wish they would ban the ownership of any knife or sword which has no legal purpose, but it's still better (or "less worse") than the outcome of a rampage with a gun. Having said that, my thoughts will be with the young lad's family and friends, and with the other victims and their loved ones.

Stop trying to make this a race or religion thing. Anyone could have done it, and the attackers race/ religion is obviously not a representation of the entirety of that race/ religion. As a Black person, I know how frustrating it is to be stereotyped a 'criminal' purely because another Black person does something 'bad' or commits a crime. When the attackers information is formally released, there is no need to view any other person with the same race/ religion, as having the same characteristics as him. COME ON MAN well the police were called but upon arriving noticed the KNIFE was a weee bit longer then they thought so they stood back and had a round table discussion on how to PROCEED after several min it was determined that they should WAIT till he got tired of swing the knife AKA SWORD so as to not ALARM the person swinging it all in accordance with new PROGRESSIVE law enforcement tactics, HE then was issued a summons to appear before magistrate and released , the bobbies then arrested the victim and charged and jailed him for allowing the knife AKA sword to become lodged in his body NUFF SAID
