We are back with another great episode with Kenganda. Again we are blessed to have brother ‪@markmeetsafrica‬ who is here in the building with us once again. We will be discussing how African Americans tell all of their business to Local Tanzanians. African Americans discuss their trauma in the United States with locals. This information is usually not well received by the local Tanzanian community leading to apathy. Due to this information, African Americans are often taken advantage of.

Let's get some more coughing and throat clearing DIRECTLY into the mic about 200 more times because the first 100 didn't sufficiently blow the eardrums for those of us listening with headphones. Don't you ever think of pulling away the mircrophone to clear your throat, no, please keep it directly up in your mouth so we can get MORE, not less, of that wonderful loud phlemy vibrations going down your mucus-filled throat. Don't ever stop eating dairy or we would miss all this.

I also arrived in Tanzania in 2020 from America. I have been here the whole time and don’t intend to ever leave. I must say that my experience is much different than what Mark has witnessed . I have received much respect from the Tanzanian community everywhere I have been. To be honest, they treat me like a King. Now the difference is I am a “AA” male well over 50 years old. From my perspective, they don’t treat WP any better here. What I think they respect is age, maturity, patriarchy, common sense and money.

Mark is very wise. I agree we Africans have our own never ending problems that many of us will find it hard to empathize with black Americans' Grievances. Each year, thousands of our people are risking their lives to cross into Europe, others embarking on dangerous illegal journeys to gulf countries, all in search of better lives. That's the reality of many Africans. They'd happily trade places with black Americans.

Of course many groups would want to trade places with Black Americans. They don't want to fight like we did to make their lives better. The two ways an African can find it hard to empathize with Black Americans is either because they don't know our history, or don't care to know. Either way it looks bad on their part. Thats why when we hear how people leave their homes for a better life, we take that as cop out for not wanting to fix whats going on. Just know that had Black Americans done what everyone else does, none of you would be able to get into America. White Americans wouldn't have allowed you in. You should want to fix your country and make it the way you deserve. Not leave it

Please call her aside and tell her off before she runs down your business when clients post negative reviews online. Hers is a clear sign of inferiority complex. It's quite common in the service industry especially hotels and restaurants. She's been raised to believe that dark skin is inferior to white and brown.

Following the behavior of one's leader is not unique to African countries, this is true around the world. It is why the Hitler-sanctioned Holocaust occurred. Also, today the US is a prime example; under Obama people behaved with more respect and courtesy, but under trump, people openly mocked and physically attacked those of a different race/ethnicity. And now infamous the US it's difficult to put the genie back in the bottle. People who engage in such behavior were just waiting for someone to give them permission to act on their baser instincts.

I agree with Mark, in African culture we are taught that what happens at home stays at home, you don't talk negatively about your family in public. But then George Floyd and social media has made Africans more aware of AA problems in the US.

Now in regards to the telling of our plight in America…I would have to disagree with the notion of not telling people how it really is over there. It has to be understood that we are the same people…especially those of us from Bantu lineage. I’ve heard it said that because of 400 plus years of separation that we are basically different peoples. One may change your diet, language, customs, and names. But what they can’t change is your Spirit and your DNA. We all have a common enemy…those that enslaved the ones they took and those that colonized them that remained. We are not separate “races” or “nations” we are the sons and daughters of their ancestors. And when we collectively realize what they did and what they are doing…Africa will rise.

If you look at the comments, most are Africans agreeing with Mark. You're wasting your time trying to explain. What's sad is Oshay and Mark knows about the Diaspora wars and are making the situation worse. I'm not seeing very many black Americans commenting on here. They are waking up and realizing Africa is not a place we want to be.

@@tonyamd9800I hear what you’re saying…but I’m not one to follow the crowd. I’ve been able to make an impact here. Starting with one person at a time. I’ve been able to transform the minds of young men here to not look to the west for wealth but to realize they are standing on it here in Africa. But that comes with educating them with the facts not the feelings. I tell them of the atrocities committed not because we need sympathy as victims…but so they know not to let it happen again.

You don't even have to speak, the media ( MSM and Social Media ) shows anyone who cares to know. The destitution in some states, the gentrification in some areas, the sundown towns, the systemic racism, the hot A.A. tempers, the race soldiers and the looking down on immigrants, especially none ADOS or Native American. Yet, we Continentals have our own WS scars to show as well and we love you like the cousins twice removed that you are. The cousins whose heritage and resources we should equally share with on the continent. The cousins whose diverse culture we need to repair the melinated social fabric of the black race.

It's not the descendants of enslaved Africans job to build up Africa, as that's seen as pimping them out to be tortured and now wanting to benefit hundreds of years later from the atrocities that were and are still being inflicted upon them. If they feel like moving back to operate businesses, great! If not, more power to them. They owe Africa nothing.

Mark is right, JPM had a very different vision for the country and saw something different and big. I am Tanzanian in the diaspora and I can also attest that now things are very bad, I had an interesting experience with some government officials who basically claimed that unless I bribe them, i was not going to get some permits that I was seeking. I was mad! All this have also to do with a colonial trauma that we haven't really dealt with since independence.
