My man is only 22 years old yet so articulate and sharp-witted in the way he positively chooses to express himself. At 22 I was still chasing girls, blinded by the pudesh (punani), I wasted a lot of money doing so I had to learn the hard way. Some people are old souls blessed from the get-go, no time to waste their mission in life is already ingrained within them.

And he had so many great quotes… I’ll have to go back and write some of them down. It’s so refreshing to see a video like this which is outside of the norm and not JUST about drinking, eating, clubbing and chasing women. THIS is truly what traveling can offer. I love to hear Mark talk. My first trip outside the US was with the Peace Crops in 1974. I was a math teacher in West Africa. Mark reminds me of a best friend I met in Liberia. He was a young man really on top things. It was a pleasure being his friend. The funny thing is. I am 72 years old now, and I have not meet anyone like some of the Black Americans I met in Africa. They were friends I will never forget, we looked out for each other. In the 1980s I was married to an African and I would tell her, all African Americans need to visit Africa. They will not all like Africa but they will benefit from going there. It will be a positive eye opener into who you are. One more thing to add, being a smart and honest guy in a place like Africa, works to your advantage. In America, if you are a Black Man that come across as a little to intelligent, it can be negative. But not in Africa, you are an America you suppose to smart. When you come across as a dumb America, there is no respect for you. What Mark did when first visiting Tanzania, is what the Peace Crops taught their Volunteers to do in one month long training at the beginning of our service. You want to be approachable and friendly. Get to know people who can help you and don't step on any toes I don't care how lowly a person seem. Show everyone respect because you do not know who knows who.

@@icthusfinancial5166 yes. I am on the record for not caring about skin tone. In the Costa Rican Caribbean, i was approached by an expat. His 8ntent was to benefit himself. Nothing wrong with that. But his angle was to point out our shared melanin content. Not a business plan. He was nice enough and we broke bread together, but he brought up race a lot and how a French woman had married a local there and he died, leaving her a lot of property. I went to view the property he had bought and wanted to revitalize a d decided that the work he needed done is something i can do myself in the states and i declined. His approach was shallow and quite frankly, the money he was asking for was high enough to make a difference but low enough to make the unwise give it away. Had a local there try the same thing. Not with me. It was a law suit or betrayal waiting to happen. If i part ways with cash, It better be crisp and align with my needs or i just do it myself because i know how to generate wealth and will outsource my needs instead of giving someone a large amount of money based on my feelings foe people's skin tone. Pay them a fair wage for fair work without giving up equity for myself. Mark seems to understand this.

This may be my most favorite video you ever did. I researched African nations, having visited a few and married a Zim once. Yes, my children are of recent African descent. I am very proud of that because i chose to have that happen. The challenge i have with Tanzania and other nations there is their reliance upon what i call the Chinese Global Payday Loan scam. Its not just African nations but here in Costa Rica too. I see and agree with the nation's efforts to free themselves from the petrol dollar. I'm the same. But based on the conditions that China uses to do this, like 99 year leases where they pretty much control all the operations and land around the trains and buildings they put up (btw, using mostly Chinese labor and stiffing the locals) it seems these nations are trading one bad colonizer for another. Over-all, the Costa Rican Caribbean gives me the vibe i want from the melanated class. But i can get with Tanzania based on what i see so far after living in Costa Rica with a couple of exceptions. Hopefully, they will not fall for the okie doke. Those of us who travel frequently know that the chinese are embedded in every sector of the globe. And largely, they are good people like everyoneelse. . But the deals they cut at a national level are to be closely monitored and are for them, not for you.

Mark is highly respected in our community when he came on the seen 3+ yrs ago @19 yrs old (which is at an age when (most) young men/women are NOT thinking about settling in a relationship/marriage but more focused on their education or exploring life). Back to the "U.S. women" comment. Its sad for you to believe that all women are monolithic & we all think the same or choose the sane type of men, and it's simply NOT true. When I decided to date in my mid-late 20s, I dated nothing but highly educated men whom some (men) may have thought were "nerdy" men. But I like who I like. I ended up marrying a Doctor in my late twenties, who later passed away in a fatal car accident. The problem is that you assume all women are the same & think the same. But the truth is that, all women do NOT LIKE "bad", ghetto, abusive men, or uneducated men. That don't even make sense. There's different levels of class of women you need to explore to know that difference, but some how you've been trapped in a box of women you only see who like "bad" guys. Maybe, the only women you see like this is in the demographic you live in, and you need to explore better quality women beyond what you always see. Explore other places you have Never been before in the U.S. You be surprised there are high # of quality & high-caliber of women you will discover. Stop speaking negative thoughts about every U.S. women when clearly you haven't explore "every/most" women in the U.S. Sadly, your downfall will be what you are "assuming" about women. I have been to 50% of the states in the US, what I've noticed is that it's the same issues. To further this we actually have redpill and full channels dedicated to men leaving women from the US. Auston's channel was created because of this problem. Here's something I can tell you, my wife is Japanese and she's the first Japanese woman I've ever met. Her culture was so different and respectful towards men that my instincts were to marry her. I was convinced with only a sample of one. Her friends no matter the region were the same way. Even in other countries which I have been to 5 the women are completely different. The vast majority were respectful and the completely opposite of the average women in the US. It may not be you but it is the vast majority of them. The premise is why run through a field full of bombs to find a wife, when I can run through a field of wives with very few bombs in it. You're arguing emotions, I'm arguing statistics. Move on with your argumentative life, and stop making life a living he'll for brothers. Rest in peace to your husband. Now this! I didnt get from the Asia content. Mark is inspiring! He is how I raised my sons. Don't be concerned about things. Do what you can to lift yourself and be an example through your works. Be a part of the community you want to protect. Those who need it will see it as a personal call to action. You can help others by being the example instead of trying to be a savior.

This was a beautiful encounter. There's a lot going on in this video. First, from the moment I found out that Auston was in Tanzania I (and others) really wanted him to meet Mark. I'm really glad that even though his channel is much larger, he was gracious enough to meet with Mark. And on Mark's side, it was simply impressive to witness his generosity in terms of sharing his valuable experience. Let's be honest, most people would be charging to give out what they have learned if it was at the rich level that Mark has attained. There are many American universities that would want to have Mark as a student, due to his real-life African knowledge (and maybe there are companies that are looking for someone like him. The point is he has pretty good options he can explore for himself, outside his own company called Merge. In the post-pandemic economy, having options is not a light matter). It does not really matter whether Auston leaves Tanzania next week and moves on. He is free to do as he pleases. Some people are better when they stay on the move; others are better if they settle down in one place. The important benefit with the Auston-Mark encounter was that for a short while we were able to see how two young African Americans, talented in their own way, can come together and learn from each other and, more importantly, inform many viewers out there. This is the kind of video that can even be played to high school students in America's inner-cities. Don't get me wrong: Africa is not the solution for every African American, just like Europe is not the solution for every White American. The point is that wherever you go, you can learn and maybe turn the experience into a positive one.

This happened to me - I was setting up in a country and the Black ex-pat community started trying to "rank" me versus them and who they admire, talking about this other Black person in the country is doing their "damn thing" - I left them alone, got with locals and kept it moving.

I'm glad many are beginning to expose the disconnect of the diaspora with the Motherland(so to speak) it's sad that we are seeing this globally from the Pookie and Ray RAY sh!t in D.R. & now Colombia to the "hoteps" who want to Go Back to Africa but don't know sh!t about the culture & then want to build with the local expats there only to repeat the cycle. I always wondered how black expats were getting along. It seems now it isn't holding much weight. Mark roke down the core as to what's wrong with Black Americans as a whole in some ways and how time, scenery, experience doesn't heal all wounds. Salute to you in your travels and unfortunate friction with the black expats you dealt with. I travel a lot. Which country did you have this issue in?

Auston and Mark. Thank you from the bottom of my heart as a brother from Zimbabwe living in the US and getting ready to return home. This is a game changer seeing two young brothers on the continent in harmony with each other. Through your videos its going to let brothers and sisters know Africa is an option and you all are welcome with open arms as brothers and sisters on the continent. I think some of the older youtubers who always talk about their plans to visit Africa but never do havd no excuses if they really want to. Go Black to Africa, Unapologetic Nomads and Search for Uhuru are other youtubers who have pushed hard for more interactions between us. We are one indeed.

@@analyticalmindset Hate may be too strong a word. He is critical sometimes justifiably and other times it is because he is clueless about how things really work in Africa. Americans suffer from this disease of thinking they know it all. A heart surgeon knows he cannot perform brain surgery or repair one's knees. Shout out to Monrovia and Liberia. After high school i had a wonderful girlfriend who was half Liberian half Zimbabwean and then after her another one who was half Liberian and half Trinidadian. All by coincidence.
