African countries you should not move to . Which African country should African Americans move to ..

A lot of African Americans or Africans in the diaspora are interested in moving or relocating to the African continent but there are 54 countries in Africa and most at times it can be really difficult to choose which African country to move to .
. Dual citizenship
. Language
. Visit the country and see if the culture and system in that country fits your vision and the peace you want ..

My advice to African Americans who want to move to Africans, because moving make sure you have some money that can take care of yourself for 2years before getting a job and make sure you paid your house rent for 2years before moving

Plus keeping your US Citizenship may keep you linked to finances you need to live off. I'm assuming like in my case I would have to maintain a citizenship to receive my military and SS benefits
@rochjohnson01
@rochjohnson01 3 жыл бұрын
@@AbbyNixon I don't know about Military benefits but retirement benefits such as Social security, 401K, IRA, taxable investment accounts you can still receive and have access to even if you renounce your US citizenship. Also many countries allow you to bank even without being a citizen, the US included.
@rochjohnson01

@Anonymous This is true, I was thinking more about people with retirement income based off of the other post. I previously thought that you will not be entitled to your US retirement benefits if you renounce your citizenship but this is not true, you can still receive them. But yes if you think you will need to go back and work in the future keep both.

fifikhalifa barry just out of curiosity, do you have dual citizenship by any chance? (Genuine question)
@raiethefantibae
@raiethefantibae 3 жыл бұрын
fifikhalifa barry ah ok, i was just wondering (hope it didn’t come across as a cheeky comment or anything). Those of us who don’t yet have dual citizenship are a bit limited in what we can do when we for example visit the country(ies) of our background. I’ll give you a little example. My mum is from Ghana, my boyfriend is also from Ghana and lives in Ghana, but because I’m not a Ghanaian citizen (yet), when i want to withdraw money in Ghana i have to send money to my boyfriend and have him withdraw the money for me so i can avoid charges (they might only be a few £ but they add up eventually). If he’s not around I have to find someone else and send the money to them to have them withdraw it because i can’t open a mobile money account. It quickly becomes frustrating

What do you mine you don't want to see white people living in Africa ??? Haveing to see them everyday For people who are going back to African from different parts of the world. African who are living in Africa to day they are not haters. We don't hate people wether you're black or white.we also understand what may African going though in different part of the world. Like what's going in America and other countries. If you going to African with that mind set you will find it hard to live anywhere in Africa. Today you have many white people standing up with you in America. They are not happy to see black people being killed by police I think we need to look at issues like more deeper . Just to let you know that not every white person is an enemy to black people. You need to visit different Countries in African before you moving there. We have white people who are citizen in Africa. The no nothing about America and there are our brother and sisters. I understand we have been divided for too long but we are come together what we want is live together in pice with our lost brothers and sisters who are coming back to their mother land no hate no hate. .

I also believe this strongly. Does of us in the Diaspora who are descendants of the Africans who were taken away should relocate to west Africa. Nearly all Nigerian presidents was Muslim and it is well known that Dangote, a Hausa Muslim and the richest black man in the world decides who is President of Nigeria. There is tension especially around the Igbo border with the areas with the Muslim North. There are many militias as a result. The Igbo feel set apon because they have a strong movement for Independence - Biafra, which the government has suppressed. You will need good guides to travel around Nigeria safely.

This is very informative. I'm looking into Kenya,Uganda, Tanazania and Ghana. I'm into audio recording sound production and voice over content. These are countries that have their own native languages however they are also english speaking countries and I want to find out if any of these countries have a decent imprint in the entertainment industry so that I can start my own production company. I plan to make my first trip next year(2021) to Kenya and hopefully Uganda. I need all the information I get so that I can make a solid choice to make the right move when that time does come.

If you are into entertainment then Uganda is for you. Its the Entertainment capital of East Africa, with annual shows like Nyege Nyege that attract people from all over the world. Kampala is the city that never sleeps.

So clarify. He says if you are American you can not keep your American citizenship if seeking Gambian citizenship BUT if you are Gambian....key word GAMBIAN...you CAN keep your Gambian citizenship even if you go seek another. Is that correct or not? So if only Gambian citizens can gain another citizenship.
