I was 15 yrs old when I watched him sing this beautiful song on the Andy Williams show in 1965. I am 74 yrs old and still get goosebumps when I hear him sing this beautiful song. He owns this song! RIP Bobby! We miss you. ❤

i am glad to see the younger generation hear Bobby Hatfield sing this beautiful song. I was also 15 years old when I first heard this song back in 1965. Still tear up every time.

I remember at dances in the Sixties we'd love to dance to this because the girl would react just as these women giving their reaction while they were in your arms.

Let those tears flow, Ms OP, it's only natural. I may have watched this exact video close to 300 times and I can honestly say the eyes get all misty EVERY TIME STILL. Your tears are a sort of applause and recognition of the singer's presentation. Obviously a sincere, heartfelt reaction.

This was actually the most played song on the radio in the entire 20th century. It was written from the perspective of a prisoner wondering if his lady would still be there for him when he got out of prison.

Beautiful reaction!!! This song crosses language and culture. The melody is so catchy that the words don't even matter. I think that is why this song is universally considered romantic. Even if English is not your first langauge, the melody of this song is understandable by everyone as being very romantic and special 💕

Totally understand yr emotion to this beautiful song, im listening since it hit the charts 64 or 65 still get tears of joy. He is one of the greatest singers ever! Have you reacted to him and Bill Medley? They belted out such great songs as You lost that Loving Feeling Soul and Inspiration Little Latin Lupe LU For once in my Life and they were on 🔥 Fire doing Night Time is the Right Time. I get emotional every time I hear that cuz he was so cute and he died so young so that makes me feel bad for him plus I'm 89 now and I was young then also so that makes me sad and he was one of the best singers ever and still is there's about two more of it are good in my opinion and when is the lead singer of The Platters and then there's the lead singer of Queen seems like I had one more well no use racking my brain it's late at night I'll think of it later . Let it out kiddo. I'm 64 and played this song about a million times after my first girlfriend broke up with me in grade 11. Cried my eyes out. I thought maybe but nope it wasn't be be. She started treating me pretty badly in our friend set so I left them all. I guess I get the last laugh because I have been married to a wonderful woman for 36 years. Lori is in her 60s and never married. Managed to pop out a couple of kids for 2 different guys. The song still takes me back to that time.

I keep getting drawn back to this song, this performance and I’m not sure why. The song was popular way before my time and it’s in a music style I’ve never followed. A while back I saw a post on another channel claiming that this was the greatest live singing performance of all time. Perhaps that explains my attraction. Perfection commands your attention and draws you to it like nothing else.

I loved the studio recording of this song when it first came out a year or so before this. I didn’t see this live version when it was on the Andy Williams show. It popped up on my phone 3 years ago. I was blown away! This was about the only song my husband would dance would dance with me to because he knew how much I loved it. He died almost 15 years ago. I play this video often and just let the tears fall because I feel him close to me.
