Oshay the problem with what you said concerning the other groups in uganda dominating like the kenyans, Somali etc is those groups are not on the internet broadcasting how they are going to dominate certain sections of Uganda. they are intelligent enough to know you let your actions do the talking not your words, (which I don't think they have that in their mind to dominate their fellow Ugandans) because words can cause a backlash. But you think its smart to talk about going into other countries dominating the local population blurting it out for everyone to hear, dont matter who you offend then complain when people start to see you as a problem or the group as a problem because you have told them your agenda and what you are going to do towards them. That its competition 😂 why cant some black people keep their mouth shut and get to work silently if that's what they intend to do. This is so common amongst some of us blacks we got to tell EVERYBODY 😂😂😂😂, go to Africa and work with people of like business minds no matter who they are if they are genuine and want to see blacks/Africans grow financially socially healthfully emotionally intellectually, remember its always a local that shows you the way and helps you to get adjusted to your surroundings. Respect the people if you are wise

I agree moving silence and excellency However I also think out of love for the African people throughout Africa. He's given a warning that there's a change coming. And it's a worldwide movement or a movement that's going to take place in Africa. That the old ways are not going to stand against it And you will be ran over and set aside as a African operating in the old inefficient way within certain countries within Africa that are slow, don't handle business in a way that is internationally acceptable. And profitable So he's also given a warning, that everybody's going to have to up their game. I believe that new changes from global forces, I e. New world order will happen but we shall see. CBDC, ARTIFICIAL INTELLIGENCE IS NOT SLOWING DOWN FOR ANYBODY. AND IT DOESN'T CARE WHO IT SWALLOWS UP IF THEY CAN'T SWIM. Let's work together as a family. I am a diasporan and I got enough sense not to bring that attitude
@blackpowerforever6648
@blackpowerforever6648 5 ай бұрын
Please stop using Liberia as an example. When the African Americans came over, Liberia started to flourish. The jealousy and inability to compete and unwillingness to learn and grow led to a war that destroyed Liberia. The Africans are not better off after Liberia. We should not let Liberia scare us from demanding progress and demanding better. One of the biggest problems we have as a black people is our stubbornness. I am convinced that there were plenty of warnings about what was going on with that slave trade and pending colonization, but a lot of people, much like the ones on here, kept on making excuses for sticking to their stubborn ways. Kept on ignorantly focusing attentions on insignificant things like “do it silently,” “don’t say words like run you over,” etc. The only thing that matters is that Oshay makes a great point and his warning is not only prophetic, but he has laid out the evidence for its historical roots and anchor. Wake up Africans and stop making lame excuses! Or we will lose Africa and her children (the diaspora) again.

As an African diasporan from the UK I know the mindset of a typical African on the continent obviously not all of them but many of them see us Africans born in the diaspora as rich pickings to exploit and rip off. However this demographic are learning the African terrain very fast and making smart moves and succeeding on the continent. Maybe l was lucky because l wasn't wealth hunting as most claim to be doing because Africa is poor . Maybe it is because l had to really try and understand why things are that way . First you all running Europe to be paid in higher bonds than most of these natives Africans . They work hard to paid for the same job and effort where as in other so called rich get 20 times more in an hour , not a day . What l did in Europe , same skills nothing changed l get paid 20 less or worse for the same services l give if l use the exchange rates. Am l lazy and stupid now ? It gives foreigners higher access to everything in Africa . All those coming to Africa with their bonds are 20 time plus ahead . It's the insult of our people and the continent we have heard for centuries. It's disheartening to hear and see it from your own folk just because they went abroad and joined the rigged systems. Off course by saying this l will be called a radical , a pan African . Which is a deflection of not wanting to acknowledge the bare truths . Yes African American and everyone else they are not sensitive to you personally . They are sensitive to rigged systems. Our raw materials and land is being siphoned and taken using the same . If you are African you must also have a different mindset . This idea of class identity and disassociation with what you perceive as a wretched continent is killing and affecting everyone. Don't disrespect people especially yourself ( as an African) . The notion that they can't or don't want to get ahead is condescending and insulting. That is why European come to Africa they are 20 time plus ahead because of the very system . People work hard all day if lucky to earn in an hour as minimum wage in US or Canada. 8 hour or more for the same damn job . Who came up with the word diaspora? You are all Africans . 🙃

Unless a leader emerges from nowhere like Niger and Burkina Faso... Any meaningful change can never happen in Africa. Remember, we are free on paper but in reality and mentally we are not. The same toxic colonial systems and education still persist and still continue to produce black people with their white master's mentality and the need to be validated by them. Consider my country, when the British king came, they spent billions just to accommodate him and his wife. They even spread a red carpet in a park for them. We are not mentally okay!!!

I don't always agree with your takes, but I think this video is essentially the truth. What I usually don't like is when AAs seem to be talking down at Africans and giving lectures and 'advice' as if you're teaching us something new (very off-putting). When in reality, virtually all the issues discussed exist all across the world. Not least of all, amongst AAs themselves. As we all know, it's much easier to spot your neighbours dusty shelf, yet your own shelves at home are dusty and unnoticed. I like this video because it's very balanced and acknowledges that the issues also exist on your end in the US. They're not "just" African issues. I agree that when it comes to Africans and AAs coming together, the sooner we take the rose coloured glasses off, the better. Idealising each other means we suddenly realising we are not perfect after all, which is what then causes all this friction. I am one of those who is living outside of Africa, but the difference is I'm not giving the locals lectures. Instead, I step back, understand why they do what they do and play the game as necessary. I'd say the main issue is coming across as lacking a sense of humility. The "coloniser" mindset is about the high and mighty lectures (I imagine that's how the other video came across) . Nothing to do with investing. That's nothing new. Being understood should be a two-way street. Living in Australia, I see the issues amongst indigenous people, but I understand why things are the way they are. I also see the issues amongst AAs but it's not my place to judge. If we all seek to understand first, we might get somewhere. Otherwise animosity and resentment might be the end result.

We Africans in the Galuta have capital. What we need is a favorable environment and secure situation to invest it into. What Africans on the continent have is land and labor. Both have a small amount of technically resourced and educated class that are just not educated to solve African problems. We can help each other to build a future for ourselves but we need to do right by each other. This is something both groups struggle with among themselves. Cultural healing transformation and renewal is necessary to make us functionally competitive with other groups.

It's largely African's responsibility particularly Ghanaians and Africans abroad to go back to Ghana and Africa and set up businesses and employ Ghanaians not Diaspora Blacks. I like Oshay but I disagree with Oshay, it's not Blk Americans ( Freedman Lineage) responsibility to "help build the Motherland" when we go there as tourists that helps the economy. I'm all for doing business but this Trans Atlantic Business must be mutually beneficial and not one way as it has been in the past. Blk Americans have done more to help the diaspora than has been reciprocated. Right now in America Blk Americans are focused on what we need to be doing for ourselves first for a change. Then we can reach out. In all fairness I remember Blk Americans telling newly arrived Blk immigrants to America in the 1980-90s Welcome, and they we need to establish cultural , social, political and economic ties with the Diaspora then. To no avail. That's why we pushed for Blks in the diaspora to immigrate to America . And diaspora immigration to America doesn't benefit Blk America in fact they've benefited as Blks off Blk America's legacy & lineage in America. Prior to 1965 Blk Immigration to America was to the right of the decimal point on a percentage basis.

We already have a case study of Liberia where AA come in to colonise the natives and and Liberia is a basket case. have you ever ask yourself why AA are not going to Liberia or just go to Serie Leone to pick passport and move on to already green pasture. We would know AA are series when they start moving to undeveloped African countries like Central africa, South sudan and Niger. Like the way many run away from African America neighbourhoods to white suburb, many are running to already made white South africa. ,The best African brains, with best education and skills the world can offer not to mention capital are in places like Nairobi and there is nobody who is coming to out compete them. Kenya has upper middle class in agriculture, agro processing, mining, cottage industry, construction there are not looking for competition but collaboration

Top Top Top comment mKenya mwenzangu, I wish I had the ability to pin this. This is what I've been saying for some time now. I've been following this AA repatriation movement for some years now and I've come to realize that most of these AAs aren't actually as skilled and/or financially capable as they portray themselves to be. In fact, I think many of the ones who come to KE get shocked by just how well we indigenous Kenyans are running the show. I started sensing something was off with these guys when I used to follow AAs like Dynast Amir (Search for Uhuru) and he'd have these hours-long podcasts with other AAs where they'd talk about coming to Africa to ''take over'' and such. Hebu sema Liberia 3.0. They'd talk about Africa and Afri-cans in a demeaning way, where they're the ones who possess all the intellectual skills and Africans are simply the natural resource and labour providers. AAs gas themselves up with how skilled and experienced they are, but then want to move to the better developed African countries that we indigenous peple have already built, and work on their online jobs that are still connected to the US economy. If they're so competent, why don't they take their 'skills' and go to develop Congo, Angola, Burkina Faso, etc? And when you as a continental African point this out to them, they gaslight you ati, why don't we have the same energy for Indian and the Chinese? And I tell them, the situation in Africa is far from perfect, but at least those Chinese and Indians are paying Africans' salaries and building infrastructure. Meanwhile, what value are AAs bringing when their 'repatriation to Africa' involves them working for an America company online from their Air BnB?? Like I was telling someone in a comment above, I want to see serious businesses being set up by AAs - goods for distribution and sale in warehouses, contract farming using greenhouses on land leased from indigenous Africans, shops and restaurants with heavy foot traffic, offices and workspaces where they've hired local Africans.. serious stuff, not endless podcasts where they're turning various African countries against one another in the comments section for views. And to your point about the level of expertise in KE from black Kenyans, its interesting how that in itself serves as a filtering mechanism for controlling the quality of AAs who come here. At least we don't get the kind of jokers that TZ and some West African countries get. But on the flip side of that coin are naive and unexposed Kenyans who think that all AAs are beneficial and will welcome them with open arms without observing them first. Alafu tena kwenye hii story ya mashamba..wueh! Hebu tujichunge. With the way our Shilling is depreciating every week, we'll soon be bought out of our homelands.

Take constructive criticism and motivate yourselves. Stop thinking at the bottom- feeder level. Get with the program. Stop taking charity from the West. Develop your own resource..

Dont worry, brother. Every person that comes to the continent is not going to make it happen there. Build with those that are like minded and don't worry about it. Nobody owes you anything because you are both black. This transition is going to be slow going. Everyone needs time to adjust. But it will happen in time. Trust and believe! Remember, you are only one piece of this puzzle. The things you want to see may not happen in your lifetime. Our ancestors sacrificed and gave their lives for our present. Keep in mind how you want the continent to grow and move accordingly.

We are all the same not just as Africans, Americans, Asians, Europeans etc. Communities value different things and the things Africans have valued have often been undervalued and stereotyped. Despite the challenges businesses face, respect is utmost because businesses provide services communities need. When you have colonial mindset, you'll see people as products instead of people. You seem to inflate or imply a stereotype and a little education about Africans, African culture and African wealth, wealth creation, value systems and beliefs will lead you in the right way to do your business and be profitable. You need the same people to sell your products, don't you?

If u create a job in an African country and you have employees then u are a pan African by default. You can not work solo, it means you will always work with people locally.

Remember without the locals they would have not been able to function within the society, I'm sure it was locals that showed them around, that looked out for them. Not everyone is bad neither is everyone good but even with business they are going to need the support of the locals to patronise their business. So it is foolish to talk about competing and dominating them

I was actually supporting black diasporans to come to Africa invest open business, file for citizenship etc work alongside the locals because as a black race self sufficiency to me is pan Africanism being able to support eachother regardless of whether you are born in or outside Africa but from the looks of things here it seems they are coming in with the white saviourism and colonial mentality of let's compete we shall take your opportunities because we come from a first world and the most famous line the white man used when robbing African resources was I am here to develop them like me country it's the same mentality black Americans are having here we learnt your history but you don't learn the history of the countries you go too or understand the people when Africans go to the US or UK you won't hear us on the internet saying we are coming to take opportunities from black Americans because the society there spreads wrong narratives that they are lazy neither do you be there fighting for African to stay in your countries you treat them like 3rd class citizens to be honest this whole divide among us isn't helping mostly because we have resources and a whole continent to play with and you have money and credit cards and systems there we should be working together and the funny thing is you think we are naive or can't withstand the competition you forget there African Elites who travel abroad and are here investing in silence and employing there people because if you feel you are all dominating then first dorminate in your countries

You don't need to invite anybody to compete with the locals the government needs to invest in the locals vendors the more they increase their profits the less scam they will be. and also educating them local on proper etiquette on dealing with foreign clients.

Excellent video, The diasporas are representing the way things should be when we all work together as one unit. However while that looks good in reality, but most will not accept what you are doing even if it good for the masses.

What's the big deal here? If the black Americans are coming into Africa with businesses, they should be allowed in without a problem for the benefit of all. Why should this be a problem?
