As a (North) Indian, you can believe how much of shock it was when game characters started to speak in Hindi. It was so beautiful. And in AOE3, battles were the ones we read in OUR history books, it was magical. I don't think we'll ever an Indian based AAA game, or one with Hindi localization, so I'm happy with whatever I could find.

This is one of those games that's instantly nostalgic even after years of never really thinking back on it. Everything thing from the idle animations to the sound effects of clicking through menus, buildings, units activate the recesses of my memory that haven't been active for nearly 2 decades.

this game really is fantastic, it was actually what taught me how to touch type. entering cheats only gave you 1000 resources at a time so i was forced to get good at typing "robin hood" or "cheese steak jimmy's" as fast as possible to get that gold & food that was needed to spam janissaries. drew you really are the best, love what you're doing!!!

AOE was great because it was one of the only ones where you could win with defensive strategies, holding all the relics, building a wonder... lmao great seinfeld reference "hello....naimen"

I was never an RTS person, more Tycoon. You made me really miss isometric 2D sprite games or whatever. Zoo Tycoon 1. Still was the best out of all of them, imo. But its downfall was its bad "guest" AI. RIP Blue Fang Games.
