This Finale for Ahsoka offers breakthroughs for characters, more reunions and lands a major loss for our heroes which means the Grand Admiral scores a big win…or does he?
SPOILER REVIEW-
Probably the biggest breakthrough:
Sabine finally breaks out of her limbo funk and makes a decisive move toward the Light Force. Her faith gets restored. She’s the JEDI in the making.
Whilst, her Master tries to overcome the WITCH but almost suffers a great loss would it not be for her restored padawan.
We witness Thrawn out smart our heroes as they focus on helping each other as opposed to stopping his escape. So they arrive too late and he makes a clean getaway but with a stowaway.
Ezra reunites with Hera and their moment was charged with relief, nostalgia, it felt like a Mother found her lost son but the shock left them locked in position.
Baylan looks intro the beyond toward whatever dark force calls on him. What could it be? And what is Shin doing on her own trying to make friends with those “Tuscan Orcs” (that’s what we call them)?

I was thinking Gerard Butler might be able to pull it off too. His voice is the ball park of Baylon's. It'll be hard to reproduce that hulking presence that Ray Stevenson brought to the role. Mr Stevenson truly embodies one of the more fascinating new characters in Star Wars. RIP Mr Stevenson.

Thank you for being the first reactors I have seen note that Hera and Ezra’s reunion is bittersweet. She’s obviously happy and shocked to see him but also knows at the same time that Sabine and Ashoka aren’t with him. And that tempers her joy. It’s One step forward and two steps back

Sabine has (technically), been training for nearly 10 years - and from a master like Ahsoka no less. Her finally using the Force, is her breakthrough moment and a testament to her belief in the Force. Though... it's still shaky (she can't block every bolt with a saber). And, she finally has that familial connection with Ahsoka that she always wanted. Also: great to see Ezra getting his second shot at Thrawn. Him teaming up with Luke, Leia and any other Jedi to take him down, will be great to see in the next shows (Skeleton Crew, Mando S4, Thrawn Movie).

Dad- ah, she did have to let Ezra go, literally! After searching for so long, her "Vision" of herself is changed (full circle), she can do even more now, free, just as Ahsoka also is. Old stuff is gone, new thing to look forward to.

The appearance of those Mortis Gods in statue form imply that it is indeed Abeloth calling out to Baylan Skoll. I really hope we get one last season of Ahsoka before Filoni’s Star Wars movie, but it will be bittersweet and sad knowing Ray Stevenson’s not gonna be there to continue on as Baylan Skoll. So whoever they get for that character better honor the work of Ray very well.

Regarding Ahsoka's decision to walk away. There is a pattern we see in rebels when someone happens to someone on the team. Sabine's first instinct is to get revenge it happened when Hera was hurt and when Kanan died, but by the end when she is given the opportunity to do so she never takes it. Not only that after Kanan died she actually stopped Zeb from trying to kill rugh, it turns out all she really needed was the chance to vent her emotions on s physical manner. But when given the chance to take a life for it she declined and she stopped Zeb from also trying to kill someone. The problem is that her master at the time was Ahsoka the grey the version of her that was tainted by Anakin's betrayal. So she's probably saw a Sabine that was full of anger and possibly even taking about killing someone and immediately freaked out and over reacted and so she walked away from Sabine. When all sabine likely needed was an opportunity to physically vent her pain away. But the fear of what her anger meant drove Ahsoka away. Then again maybe sabine really was murderous but I think it's more likely Ahsoka over reacted.

That was sooooo good. I loved it. Baylan and Shin's stories are for the next season. Shin has lost faith in both Baylan and their cause, and never had any love for Thrawn or the Witches. She's taking command of these raiders now. Baylan finally revealed what he's looking for. The Mortis Gods power. So cool how the statues of the Father and the Son were there, but the Sister was all crumbled with no head. And what was the statue of the Father pointing to? Did you notice the glowing beam of light on that mountain the hand was pointing to? Maybe something related to their power or knowledge. We'll find out next season when they can really tell the story. Also alot of people were saying that those boxes probably held dead Storm Troopers that they would make Night Trooper Zombies out of. But Ezra said Thrawn "Woke up" the Night Sisters, so I think those are cryo chambers full of Dathomiri Night Sisters and Brothers, waiting to be woken up. Seeing Anakin as a force ghost again was cool too. I'll be looking forward to next season for things like Ezra meeting Jacen for the first time. Can't wait.

I don't think people realize how dangerous Thrawn is gonna be too. I mean besides having the whole power of the Imperial Renmant, undead Night Troopers and possibly Night Sisters, he also probably will NEVER lose to a Force wielder. He learned his lesson after that. I only way I see him being defeated is by being assassinated by Imperials

I went to mention that Sabine has one advantage that no one else outside the prequels has. Which she grew up with the force. She had Kanan and then Ezra and finally Ahsoka. Her struggle wasn't believingb in it's power it was believing that she could actually use it. But once that flip was switched she knows what the force can do she's see it so often. That's why she could have the faith to push Ezra so quickly after finally being able to use it where as others would have struggled to do that. They have the opposite path. they are quickly able to use the force but struggle to understand it's limits. They have to fight common realize something like that is an option. She already knew it was an option she just didn't have the means to be able to use it before

The actress who played Morgan Elzbeth is Diana Inosanto. She is the daughter of Dan Inosanto, Bruce Lee's partner in creating Jeet Kun Do. Dan inosanto was a master in the Filipino martial arts of Stick fighting and sword and knife fighting. Diana trained all her life in all these styles (as well as others). Anyways, yeah. She is a "fierce warrior".

The Actress that plays Morgan is actually Bruce Lee's Goddaughter, so She's been in Martial Arts Her whole life so casting Her was a good choice, and I saw someone post a picture of Liev Schreiber as Balin and it works.

Ahsoka S2 is in early development Mando S4 (Thrawn will be the big bad) Dave’s movie will be like what endgame was to Marvel ultimately, so we have our own Mando universe ending. Ultimately I think in terms of the more immediate Ahsoka & Sabine will get home, somehow courtesy of the Mortis Gods, with Ahsoka formally taking her place as the daughter. I can’t see any reason why Dave wouldn’t want to have a full surviving Ghost Crew reunion at some point down the line. Then in terms of content that will be available for streaming in 2024, you’ve got skeleton crew (whether that’s tied into the Mando universe somehow who knows?) Bad batch the final season (really looking forward to this) and tales of the Jedi S2 (I’m super looking forward to this). So right now there’s plenty of content coming it’s just how are they going to spread it out for the next 12 months. So I watched this episode at 0 2:00 on Wednesday morning (UK time) and then I decided not long after to sit and watch the whole show again from start to finish, that wrapped up at around 22:00, it was definitely a better watch the second time round Not to mention the fact, it’s the only show that I’ve actually watched the second time. In terms of live action, I have no complaints with this show. In terms of Sabine, I think a lot of people are forgetting she had 10 years of character development, and half of that being some form of Jedi training, whether that was with Kanan when she was younger or Ahsoka post battle of Endor, Not to mention the fact that she didn’t even stick the landing when force pushing Ezra, much like as we used to do all the time with Kanan and how he did it with Maul, so again no complaints. That being said I don’t know whether it’s because at this point at 37 I’m easily pleased. I saw this one person do an eight minute video about Disney Star Wars shills and he made references to people needing to get loaded I’ve been to myself. This guy just did an eight minute video which probably took him about an hour to do and he thinks the fans of the problem? Dave is the only reason ultimately, why Star Wars fans are coming back for more, I had no complaints with the episode overall because ultimately he’s expanding the lore & world building as building and that’s the most interesting part of this right now, at least for me. As of Friday, September 6, 2023, the second soundtrack for Ahsoka episodes, 5-8 have been released. Not to mention the first soundtrack album for episodes. 1 - 4 is also available. Kevin Kiner is and has been since 2008 John Williams 2.0, like really he really understands Star Wars from a musical perspective and it really hits you in the emotional feels, maybe I’m biased though, because I do like my soundtracks from TV and film. I’m still waiting to see an interview from Timothy Zahn (creator of Thrawn) about his thoughts and feelings of the Ahsoka show overall.

Thanks for the reactions. I think that Shin not returning to Thrawn is good. More to come from her. Baylan mentioned about her being a Bokken (not sure on spelling) Jedi. Misfits or outcasts. Finding a draw for now with the raiders. Outcasts themselves. Also I think that Sabines arc has shown the difficulty and complexity of the force. Dealing with all that trauma and clouded thoughts. People may say she learnt too quick with all that power all of a sudden. But I think all the baggage she unloaded let it flow. Would like to see how she combines they style of her Jedilorian future. New saber mods, costume additions, colours. Think she will express that more maybe. What do you think on that?

So in this one 45 minute episode Ezra gets a new lightsaber (that looks very much like Kanan’s😢), we learn what caused the divide between Sabine and Ahsoka, Morgan Elsbeth seriously leveled up and gave us one of the coolest and best shot duels we’ve ever seen with Ahsoka, the Night Troopers truly became one of the most terrifying zombie armies of all time, Sabine finally managed to use the Force and become the first ever on screen Mandalorian Jedi, Sabine and Ahsoka managed to send Ezra home at the cost of them being stranded, Thrawn well and truly defeated the Jedi while also showing genuine remorse at losing his most loyal and capable follower in Morgan, Ezra finally reunited with Hera and Chopper (though I’m pissed we never got to see Zeb this whole season), we learn Baylan is searching for something connected to the Mortis Gods, and the final shot is of Anakin watching over Ahsoka!😮‍💨 I honestly wish this episode was longer given how there was SO MUCH stuff that happed but the pacing was a little fast, I really wish we had more than a minute of screen time with Skoll and Hati. I’m still sad that Ray Stevenson never got to live to see the love he would’ve gotten from fans for this show. Still the last scene of him standing on the statue of the Mortis Gods is now etched into my brain forever. I still wish Ray Stevenson lived long enough to see the overwhelming love and praise he would’ve gotten from fans for is perfect performance as one of the most amazing and complex characters in all of Star Wars. Rest In Peace Ray, you will live forever in the hearts of Star Wars fans.

Recast Ray and Let the Actor that takes his place honor him with a short video in costume. Let him bid farewell to Ray. I think that is the best way to have people except the new actor faster. Hell Maybe he ends up playing Baylan just as good but in his own way and maybe that is what is needed for the next season.

They aren’t coffins, they are sleep hyper sleep chambers. Thrawn “woke” the mothers up and the mothers will wake up their people on Dathomir, to prepare for what is coming, to prepare for what they are running from. The alliance with Thrawn is tentative, he needs the night sisters, but they are home and no longer need him. The only question is has Thrawn prepared for their betrayal? Diana Lee Inosanto played Morgan, and she is the god daughter of Bruce Lee. She is well known in the stunt industry and a trained martial artist, what a wonderful performance she gave. I truly hope we haven’t seen the last of her, as Thrawn said, resurrection is a tool used by both the Jedi and Night Sisters. I really enjoyed this series and what it opens up for the future. I feel something or someone darker than we have ever seen before is coming, the mother of chaos was exiled, not killed, not destroyed, meaning she is still out there.

I think the Mortis Gods - The Father is Anakin, The Daughter is Ahsoka and the Son is Baylan. And all will stop the Mother. Shin will be the Mother aka Abeloth.

Early prediction Ahsoka will lose both her Lightsabers and get that staff. Another prediction. Ahsoka will get her old Lightsabers back. The ones that Anakin gave her and picked up at the end of clone wars. Maybe he will be able to give them to her through the force like the witches did with that sword.

So how did they get the two rat dogs back? They left them sealed in the bottom chamber of the castle and then the whole castle collapsed on top of them so how did they end up riding them back to the Noti?

Like Ahsoka said, it was the front entrance that was sealed. The Howlers would have escaped through the other ways as they were no longer in the atrium by the time the Night Troopers began their attack.

I think they completely stuck the landing with this series. I can’t wait to see more Ezra in a feature length film potentially. I’m not saying Ezra’s a favorite character of mine but just more live action. Hopefully more Luke too!!! Can you imagine Heir to the Empire in the movie we are getting!!! Even if title only.

If they are going to do a season 2 they HAVE to recast Baylin. Usually I am not a fan of recasts but the story arc he is on is so compelling that I feel it would be wasteful for them to not recast him and move that story point forward

I guess technically it can be possible. As we saw in Rebels, we know the world between worlds allows for some form of time travel and the possibility to alter timelines.
