Visited these temples in May last year. One of the best preserved Salt Range temples. The larger of the two temples is truly magnificent.

Salman Sahab - Porche in front of temple is called Sabha Mandap or Sabha Mandapam in South India. This is basically a wooden structure or made of stones.

We have story of Raja Ambreesh and Sage Durwasa in our Hindu religious books. Mentioned as happened in Satyuga ( Thats before Mahabharta ). Temples may not be so old ( As archeologists date Mahabharta period around 1200 B.C. ). But theme of these temples may be related to the story. Sage Durwasa was an angry learned man ( People were afraid of his spontaneous anger ) and Raja Ambreesh was very polite despite being a powerful king of region. Story goes about the way ego and anger of sage Durwasa finally lost in front of politeness of King Ambreesh. Thank you very much Sir for bringing this part of our history to us and preserving the same in your words 🙏 * We have several places that are said be related with the stories of that period . Temples have been built there are of later period. Pushkar , Katas raj , Hinglaj , Sambhar i know about.

Temple building started in india only during GUPTA era. I.e. 300 AD. FIRSt of the temple is considered to be in deoghar built by Guptas. But by end of Guptas in 500-600 AD temple building have already become mature. He is right these must be hindushahi

@@GuzzarAwan Right oldest temples are of Gupta period in Rajasthan also , I have not commented on the period of temple structure in vlog .Stories of our religion have been part of temples which continued in Jataka tales of Buddhism. That's my point.

Photos are perfect. Your interest in Indian architecture and language is surprising for us. Please influence so that these temples are preserved properly. I don’t think many Indians know as much as you do. Thank you.

Rajtarangini is a 8 volume book written in Sanskrit by Pt Kalhan. The book was followed by Rajtarangini 2 written by Jonaraja. Martand Temple was destroyed by Sikandar Butshikan in the 14th-15th century as part of his plan to erase all traces of Hindu- Buddhist past of Kashmir.

Wow! This is amazing. Am I seeing arches in the Indian sub continent before the arrival of Islam? In Delhi, we are told during the various heritage walks I have attended that Indian craftsmen did not know arches. I don't know how I can contribute in my own humble way to ensure that these temples keep standing.

The Mandirs facing each other suggest that probably bigger temple was a siva temple and west ward facing small temple is that of Nandi Maharaj. At the end of day, they were built by your ancestors- your temples are abandoned and so are deities of your land! Our temples in India are alive and our deities worshipped… I don’t feel too sad about this ‘loss’ cuz they were yours to begin with and if there is something beyond material than your land will pay for it, and maybe it is !!!

In Punjabi script Gurmuki we don't have alphabet Ksh that's the reason we call Kshatriya as Khatri in Punjabi language script as in Persian language script they didn't have alphabet G that's the reason Hindu Ghandhar became Khandhar after Persian Islamic invasion .
