@@heathbirley1774 we do if you're asking bunch of questions but nothing scares controller's or causes more problems than pilot just going up or down right next to busy bravo and not saying anything.

Yeah I agree. I watch a lot of these channels as a sport pilot and think this guy is great.. imagine not having most electronics and doing this math with a calculator and a pencil

There are icing incidents with the Garrett that have to do with propeller windmill back feeding a pump which results in failure due to descending too quickly ~ myself if I could continue i would often come in high and hot but there are issues with slips that would not allow me to do that so try to get a plane with airbrakes

Awesome! I've driven by and flown over Airpark my entire life and still haven't landed there. I'd really like to just for the novelty of flying right over park lane. I've heard rumors for a while of it going away, so I hope it's able to stick around for the long term. Good note on the GUMPS check.

Thanks! I usually do, but will sometimes wait until they abbreviate it first. Haven't done much flying on the east coast though so that's cool perspective (never had a controller actually point it out to abbreviate it!).

Congrats on the first flight into Class B! Awesome stuff. You never really know what you're going to get, but it's usually one of a few different routes and after a few reps you get the hang of it. Good accomplishment though, so congrats!

That's so awesome. Very cool memory! I once was landing on the east runway at Dallas Love Field with all the southwest jets and was cleared to land 31R and as I was on left base (flying through final for 31L) they canceled that landing clearance to make room for a coast guard plane that was on final for 31R and re-cleared me to land on 31L. Hard left immediate turn to make 31L and there was a line of Southwest jets waiting for me to get off the runway. I had to chuckle as they were burning fuel sitting there... sorry guys, not my fault!

Awesome - what a beautiful place to fly. I haven't flown my 182 around Denver, but have gone through Cortez / Durango area on my way to Idaho a few times. Gorgeous state.

Thanks a bunch. It can be intimidating at first for sure. I think you'd be surprised that it gets so much easier over time. Don't let it stop you! I was 14 when I started to fly and usually froze on the radio even at an uncontrolled airport (I remember totally blanking in a super cub trying to say I was entering the downwind to land... that felt like a foreign language to me at the time) and it got better from there :)

Don't sweat your ppl ....it's a license to hone your skills and learn....visit your local tower, ATC...practice proper radio etiquette, there are slight differences though...listen to radio coms...to pick this up..don't worry about mistakes etc..ATC will help you with that...Thinking ahead! Know what your going to say. A simple thing I lesrned in situational awareness is to envision your plane flying over the chsrts..simple bur effective...in flying most GA aircraft I found it advantageous to maintain as high a speed as possible in terminal areas with jet traffic..I am not an instructor! But have thousands of hours..always ck anything out with CFI before you implement any tips or instructions...it is also a very good idea after you get your ticket to continue your training by having your instructor fly co-pilot with you every 120 days or so..all that wisdom is hard earned and well worth the cost...happy trails! Safe flights....
