Poor aluminum head 300. Those heads are uber rare and desirable to people building the 300 or stroking a 215 to 302 (on both sides of the pond because the 215 was built until 2002 by Leland for the LR Discovery 2). I'm doing an LS in a 1964 Buick Skylark wagon - but if I'd had that motor, I'd been sorely tempted to build it with all the modern stuff like crank fired ignition and EFI (because it's available because of the D2).

Your Skylark has suttle features over the other A bodies of 64. Note the grease zerks on A arm front pivots, the hidden carriage bolts in the front bumper, and the casted trim all over the car, some one-year only casted.

I’d have chosen any of the other bodies - and gone with a 425 nail-head and stick from a Wildcats or th400 but to each their own - I like easy swaps that can even be made to look original

Of all the GM brands, I feel like I'd most likely build a buick. I love these 64-65 Skylarks, would love to get my hands on a 70 GSX, like the 53-54 era, would love to do a '56, maybe like a 67 Riviera, do a '72 Le Sabre 4-door and bag it, and of course who doesn't like a 85-87 Grand National?
