@@najbgaj I really wish reaction channels would start doing lesser sequels. It's a reaction Channel, reactions to bad movies are almost as interesting. People keep telling content creators to skip movies like Terminator 3 or Alien 3. That's not right. Not only that, but a lot of people end up liking those movies. Tons of people like movies like Thor dark World, or the j.j. Abrams Star Trek movies, which I hate, by the way.

Now that you mentioned it, I never realized until very recently how sad this story actually is when you strip away the slasher doll aspect of it. A single parent doing their utter best to provide for their lonely child and buys them a "friend" to fill in that gap only for that "friend" to virtually ruin everything in that child's life and they never recover from it. Like a fucked up version of Lilo and Stitch lol

To answer your question about Chucky being so strong... yeah, despite being in the body of a doll, Charles Lee Ray retains the full strength of an adult man. As a kid it did scare me a bit I'lladmit 😄. Back in the 80s there actually was a popular doll called My Little Buddy, and it actually cost a bit of change. There's no doubt in my mind they based the whole Chucky Good Guy Doll off of this. And Andy did tug a the heart didn't he. The scene where he breaks down and cries because he see's Chucky coming does get me every time. And the final scene where he's looking back and it freeze frames. No matter how many times I've seen this, I'm like that poor poor kid. Other than his mother, the one thing he loved and adored was that doll, and it tried to kill him. That kid is gonna need serious help. Awesome reaction as always 🙏🏾🔥🔥🔥

Story time! This movie has a special place in my heart. I saw it when I was 8. My parents let me an my sister watch horror movies from a young age. And then the other neighborhood kids found out I had seen it and asked me what it was like. So I sat this little group of 5-year-olds down and told them the events of this entire movie IN DETAIL. Hooooooooooboy, the next. DAY: My parents call me into the living room to tell me my story had kept every single last one of those kids up all night crying. My simple explanation was: They asked me to. It must have been a legit enough reason, because they just went on to say never do it again, because not all kids are allowed to watch scary movies. Thank you. 😊

I think Alanda is too harsh and unfair on Andy's mom. She did her best to protect her son, even got him away from the cops trying to interrogate him. There is no such thing as a living doll until Chucky came into play in that world. Of course she would want Andy to stop using the doll excuse so he doesn't go mentally insane. That's why she checks on Andy's well being on the way to school that he isn't being crazy and thinking a doll is alive. She's trying to prevent the first steps to her son becoming a mentally insane patient. Andy's mom handled it as well as she could for someone who lives in a world where living dolls are suppose to be ridiculous and unrealistic. Just screaming at Chucky when she still had no evidence he was alive is something 95% of parents would never even try because it's ridiculous and yet she tried it. She banked on the chance that this would turn her mentally insane if she was wrong.

FINALLY LMAO. This is one of my fave childhood movies tbh. I wouldn’t say it fucked me up but since I’ve been watching horror movies since I was 3, but my mind constantly plays tricks on me and I can’t sleep in total darkness so… ionkno maybe horror movies messed me up more than I think lmao

I was born in 1978. And it is true. We used tables and chairs to get to the counter or on top of the refrigerator to reach the cereal and fix our own breakfast. My mother was usually asleep during Saturday Morning Cartoon time, so I had to improvise. lol!

"Doing alley deals with upstairs attitude"... poetry! For my money, 2´s good, 3´s awful, 4´s great, 5´s awful, 6 and 7 are OK, but especially worth it for the post-credits scenes, and the series is OK. I personally like the remake too, but I´m in a huuuge minority, plus it´s not needed for all of this.

YEEEEES! I am so happy that you are starting this franchise. I love all of them, mostly the 3rd one and Bride of Chucky are my favorites. 2 is great, but I like the directions of absurdity that the sequels get into. I will be glued to my laptop waiting for your reactions to these. Keep it up and I ADORE your content.

I remember when this came out in college. The studio released it after Halloween thinking it would only play in theatres two weeks and the word of mouth made it a big hit, especially over Thanksgiving. Smart and funny and scary. The three elements needed for a good horror thriller. Speaking of voodoo, watch The Serpent and the Rainbow as it will completely freak you out but in a good way.

Now that you have been introduced to "Chucky", I cannot wait to see you react to "Bride of Chucky"! Also not great, but in the Chucky series, every "Child's Play/Chucky" movie is cannon! If at all possible even watching a reaction to the series would be great! I hope you are doing alright and staying safe, thank you very much for this video! (And P.S.: When I first watched this movie (I am a 90's baby) it terrified me of all doll type/porcelain dolls)

I accidentally got my nephew obsessed with this movie when he was 3 or 4 😆 He was napping and I went to another room to watch, but he woke up and decided to join me 😬 After that he always wanted to watch Chucky! Until he had a nightmare about him, that is. That killed it. I never meant to start it, though! I don't know how he feels now (at 18), but for the longest time he hated everything considered scary and even refused to go into Halloween stores to look for a costume. Too scary 😞 Admittedly, I didn't like scary things when I was little either. Except for Gremlins. I loved them!

This is the one! When I was a child THIS is the only horror that scared me. I've never had a problem with scary movies but dolls are my line! I do not like dolls coming to life. It is by far not the best scary movie but it is definitely a classic and it definitely fucked me up.

I also think because Andy a child was the main character and victim. It was told from his point of view so as a child viewing we was right there with him. When has Good Guy dolls on t.v and saiid “wow” we said it too, when he was trying to convince everyone chucky was killing we was right there with him, and that scene where he saying “he’s coming to kill me” that just destroyed me as a child. That freeze shot of Andy looking at Chucky before the end credit and the soundtrack tells the story of a child who’s best friend betrayed him. There’s no other movies I think could scare the crap outta children than Childs Play.
