Just gotta love how Alastor is already manipulating Charlie. Notice in the beginning he throws fire in the air to distract Charlie so he can push Vaggie away? Or when he says "It's just laughable~" he says it to Vaggie's face not Charlie's? And poor Charlie is too wrapped up in the music to notice all the insults he's throwing her way but only compliments her when she's on screen. I want to say it's great foreshadowing but it's so on the nose that I think it's more lampshading than anything and I love it. XD

I honestly love their attention to detail Alastor lived in the 1920s, so practically every detail put into his song matches that He dresses Charlie and Nifty into flappers, he dresses the men into suits and ties, gives some old bowler caps all around... and, of course, the jazz, which started to become popular around that time Major respect to the writers over there behind Hazbin

It says something to the writers of Hazbin that a character who only has 20 minutes of screen time, and not a ton of dialouge can basically steal the entire show the moment he appears. God this dude is amazing

Funny idea. Alastor try’s to sing a whole song every episode, but keeps getting interrupted by someone trying to kill him. When he finally finishes one whole song he gets very confused and doesn’t know what to do next. Like “ well golly gee never made it this far before without having to kill some one. Don’t know what to do with the rest of my day know.”

I just realized that Alastor doesn’t need a deal to influence Charlie, because even without it he has mad charisma.

Can we just appreciate the writing of this one episode... left and right you're introduced to characters who get plenty of time to show off who they are: Charlie, Vaggie, Angel Dust, Cherri Bomb, even Sir Pentious. They all have their unique quirks to them, whether you like them or not, there is someone there for everyone, whether you relate to Charlie wanting to give every demon a chance to be better, or Vaggie for being the protective girlfriend that believes in Charlie's idea, even if she may not believe in it herself, or you fall for Angel Dust, the very... what's the word... unique individual who yes, is very lewd, but he does have a soft spot for some certain people, and is charismatic in his own right. Maybe you like Cherri Bomb just strictly because she's a punk girl with a bad attitude, or Sir Pentious because he's just a silly villain. However... then you get to Alastor... and he just blows those guys out of the water. His charisma and the way he carries himself let's you know that as charming as this fucker is, he's more dangerous than anyone we've seen up to this point. I thought Angel was going to be my favorite character, seriously, he's just so lovable, but then Alastor comes in and steals the show. It's literally impossible to take your eyes off the screen when he's there. Such a great character :).

People keeping commenting on the fact that he doesn't swear and it makes sense. In his day only trashy and low life people swore and we all can tell he's very "gentleman" like. Obviously normal people swore back than, not just the low lifes but it wasn't like they would swear casually.
