Albert Lee is lost tribe Gypsy. Gypsies are some of the best musicians in the World. Think Django Reinhardt. and then Albert Lee. Albert's solos playing with Ry Cooder and Eric Clapton in Clapton's 1983 tour we're best solos slow or fast I've ever heard. Absolutely every tone, including exquisite smooth distortion, melody, arpeggio, rock, country, jazz, slow, fast long, short, fills and rhythm played with more feel and soul than I've ever heard. In one man playing a guitar. And in this case trading beautifully with Clapton and Cooder. He is without a doubt the most humble and friendly guitar playing genius alive today. And, I've seen and/or heard them all.

Wow! This is the very best out of the very best playing together. One of the toughest pieces of music played with ease and aplomp. Every single one of them is a world's top level musician. No compromise, no "pretty good", no middle class. On of these rare lucky moments in music history caught on tape. ThanXXX for posting!

first heard discovered Albert Lee when I heard a kick-ass solo on Dave Edmund's "sweet little Lisa" in 1979 album "Repeat when necessary". From that point on I put him as my favourite Brit guitarist. Various U.S. female country singers latched on to him as their guitarist of choice from that point. Emmylou called him "her little caveman"
