I used the GoPro HERO 9 Black's TimeWarp 3.0 feature to capture a recent bike ride from Alexandria, VA to Fort Foote Park in Fort Washington, MD. This ride was primarily on dedicated bike paths / lanes; however, there is a small section (specifically the entire length of Fort Foote Road) where there are no dedicated bike lanes and it is on-road riding.
I started my ride on the VA side of the Woodrow Wilson Bridge. Once I got to the MD side of the bridge, I headed up the bike path that parallels MGM National Avenue and turned right onto the path that parallels Oxen Hill Road. After a couple miles, I turned right off Oxen Hill Road onto Fort Foote Road (this is the portion where there are no bike lanes). Fort Foote Road eventually loops back around to a more southern portion of Oxen Hill Road - from here, I re-traced my path all the way back to the VA side of the Woodrow Wilson Bridge where I started.
The Strava activity link below includes my full ride, which was more than what I included in this video. I technically started from my apartment in Alexandria, biked along the Mt. Vernon trail all the way to Mt. Vernon, biked back to Alexandria, biked over the Woodrow Wilson Bridge, biked to Fort Foote Park, and then returned to Alexandria (somewhat a "loop," but a fair amount of overlap / out and back as well). The full ride came out to about 36 miles in total, but the "loop" in the video was only about 15 miles.
